I wouldn't say that Metal Gear Solid is, but I like the entire series because:

An amazing "spy movie" plot, full of drama and plot twists, and some of best voice acting to be put in a game. Right now, Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty is my greatest game of all time. But with the way Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater is shaping it, we may have a new greatest game, for current Metal Gear fans or not.

if i want plot twists and comic relief and all that i'll rent a movie...i don't even care about games which tweaked existing ideas...how about games which invented/perfected these things...such as super mario bros 3, Legend of zelda: OoT, and also Super C....but that's tight in the shooting category with Journey to Silius...

1. Breath of Fire III
2. Brave Fencer Musashi
3. Final Fantasy VI

In that order of greatness. FFtactics is worthy, but FFX is pure crap in comparison to the others. Breath of Fire III was my favorite game and RPG because it was so damned long with turns in the story left and right. Save some space by putting "FF Games" There is too much argument.

Kirby Superstar- It's a little short but kicks lots of ass. You have so many different play modes and you can play with friends the whole time for every game. There's a giant collection adventure, an eating contest/race, a quick old fasioned kirby level romp that has levels that were once in older games ending in a fight with king deedee in a boxng ring, an arena where you fight as many bosses as possible until you die, a mode where once you get a power, you keep it and can switch at any time, a reaction testing ninja game, a storyline where you fight an evil ninja/knight in his battleship, a game that tests your coordination to smash blocks, and i think there's one or two others im forgetting.

Some of these are very short others may take a couple days. And this was all available on the SNES. If you've never played it before, play it in some way shape or form because it is the best kirby game ever. Kirby 64 was crappy. I wanted 3d superstar!!!!

Oh, and FF7 wasn't that great to me, it just looked good for its time and had some cool features but it was just like every other FF game at it's core. personally, tactics RPG's are much better in my opinion. FFTA and Tactics Ogre for the GBA forever!!!!!

None of the Final Fantasy games should be there. They have no replay value and no multiplayer action. Especially in the case of FF7. The only thing it has over other games is Cloud and Sephiroth. Unfortunately, they are 32-bit pixellated madness and so Kingdom Hearts owns it.

Super Smash Brothers Melee should be there. Chrono Trigger should be there. Starcraft should be there. Super Monkey Ball should be #1.

SSBM came out in 2002. Chrono Trigger and Starcraft who even knows anymore. At least 4 or 5 years ago. Monkey Ball was the first game for gamecube. Kingdom Hearts was a 2002 release as well.

You posted this in 2003. LATE 2003. Try researching release dates on games and then actually play them to get an opinion on them. Final Fantasy is nowhere near the best game ever made. Not by far.

He just said Starcraft stinks. I may prefer C&C to the craft games, but SC is definitly a great game. Well balanced, good single player, HUGE multiplayer that is (surprisingly) still very active, a developer that actually cares for the game, Zerglings. That's all that needs to be said.
