Never too late to start! FFIX is worth playing IMO.

Couldn't possibly agree more. I honestly think FFIX is the second best game in the series, with VII at 3rd place and VI at 1st.

Albeit that humor wont appeal to everyone (aka loosen up fanboys) but he raises a lot of valid points about the games. Do check those out of it you have time -- he makes it entertaining and informative for most of the longer duration of these videos.

The versus is going to be ffxv , and online MMO , i read it on a fórum in the day of the versus conference , they leeked vídeo footage of the conference.

if you wann ahave a black mage (offnsive caster), junction strong whit/support magic 2 MAG, and don't 4get stuff like mag+20%, etc

if you wanna have a white mage, junctoin strong blak magic to MAG
if you have rinoa healin, she's not gonna cast ultima l0l

and if u wannt have a red mage, you can eihter juncion low level magic to ur stats and cast high magic, or you cna junction high level magic and cast low level. either way works

The battle system now allows you to target different parts of an enemy's body like in Vagrant Story.

I'm turned off already, this isn't the standard Final Fantasy mechanics you would normally see, and it's not one I have liked in other games.

Yoichi Wada (president of Square Enix) wants the game to have a world scale and volume of content that surpasses The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. He also wants the game to surpass FFVII in worldwide sales and critical reception.

FFVII got popular BY ACCIDENT. If Yoichi thinks he can do this on purpose, I don't think we're going to see a game that's genuine and legitimately good. HERE COME THE GIMMICKS.

I don't think they're going to stop pumping out MMO's anytime soon, which is a shame.

Now I have this huge urge to replay FF6 and FF7.

Believe it or not, even though I love FF7, there are some things about it (certain plot details) that I totally hate.

I love 12. It's difficult, exciting gameplay, open world...I love this game!

9 is great but after having replayed it 6-7 times and beaten it at level 1 + speed ran it, I feel it is weak in a two areas:

1. It's ridiculously easy. Several of the games in the series suffer from this, but this one more so than the others IMO. It's easy to the point that you can pretty much never level up, ever, and have absolutely no problems. Weapons+armors are overpowered and pretty much negate the need for any training.
2. Surprisingly restrictive. You never get to make the damn party you want and you're usually forced to go somewhere specific until late disk 3. The linearness in this one is deceptively strong.

Currently replaying 7, in Juno...oh boy. I hate midgar. It sets up the story nicely I suppose but the game is rather boring through it.

Replayed 6 on the GBA remake not long ago, since I've never played it. I recommend it if you do replay it, because there's a bonus dungeon that is surprisingly difficult.

I have mixed feelings about Midgar. It has its boring parts, but overall, it's an interesting location that has some cool action sequences and detailed scenery.

I actually like that it's long -- but for an unusual reason, perhaps: I remember the feeling I had when I first left Midgar many years ago on my first play-through where, despite how long it took to get out, there was this huge sense of awe at the realization that I had finally reached the World Map and the game was just beginning. That moment, for me, was one of those "omg this game is going to be epic" moments.
