Re: TWG XXXVIII: THE RACE FOR THE PRESIDENCY
Back at school finally. I'm in favor of revealing votes, be it before or after the lynch. As was already mentioned, numbers will have to add up which will force the wolve's hand at least a bit. If we screw up and cast too many votes against a human, they get their way anyways and that person is dead, but if we get lucky and get enough pressure on a wolf, they have to start making some choices which may eventually back them into a corner.
Also, I think it is 100% completely necessary that we decide on a name and get as many votes on that person today, Day 1. If we don't and we let people vote how they please, it's quite obvous the wolves get another free human kill, today and possibly in the future. If we decide on a name together we at least has the possibility of lynching a wolf, whereas if we left it up to the individual to vote how they want, the wolves get their way. So worst case scenario, we're out a human just as if we hadn't cooperated, but best case we get a wolf. Unless someone has a counter-point, I think this is clearly the best route, at least for Day 1.Like the moon over

Re: TWG XXXVIII: THE RACE FOR THE PRESIDENCY
not necessarily. if we all reveal our votes the following day, we know that things have to add up, and the wolves would (if they all four voted together and got someone lynched that way) have to lie. And since most people aren't that good at lying, I'm assuming that the wolves would then want to avoid that scenario, which means that they wouldn't all vote together.it's quite obvous the wolves get another free human kill
edit: and yes, I'm assuming there's four wolves (3 out of 18 would be too stacked against them unless fojar gave them ridiculous powers, which I guess is possible), though what I said holds true for three as well.Last edited by talisman; 11-12-2006, 04:38 PM.Comment

Re: TWG XXXVIII: THE RACE FOR THE PRESIDENCY
IF YOU SEE THIS AND YOU HAVEN'T POSTED YET PLEASE DO SO.
We need to know who's going to be active. We need to know who's going to post. We also need to know who's going to get dropped due to activity so we can kill one of them.
So far, these people haven't posted.

Out of the aforementioned people, I would most like to see petpro go, simply based on:
1: he hasn't posted once.
2: He seems to be not very well known, and I'm assuming that means he hasn't played before (not here at least). IF THAT IS WRONG PLEASE CORRECT ME.
3: We don't even have his aim rofl.
I have nothing against petpro, and this is ALL subejct to change when people read it and suggest something else, but unless we want the wolves to pick the kill today and tonight (there goes two more vets) we need to majority vote someone. I'm up for ideas, and I'm starting with a suggestion.

Re: TWG XXXVIII: THE RACE FOR THE PRESIDENCY
Okay, I'm totally for revealing votes after lynchings. As Jurs said, we're at a great disadvantage not knowing who voted for who, and with the "numbers have to add up" logic, revealing votes fixes this problem.
P.S. I'm a total douchebag and I'm sorry I've been ignoring this game. Even as I type this, my mind's not really into the game and my brain is going "RAMEN NOODLE SOUP RAMEN NOODLE SOUP RAMEN NOODLE SOUP".
And if we're going to decide on one person to vote for today....Any suggestions?Comment

Oh. There's a suggestion right there.
A good one, too.Comment

Re: TWG XXXVIII: THE RACE FOR THE PRESIDENCY
This whole nominating one person thing seems kind of counterproductive to me. Mainly because there's no information to be had from it. If we all push for votes on one person, then revealing votes later is pointless, as no new info is gleaned, nor can we question anyone's voting rationale (i.e. can't distinguish bandwagoning humans from bandwagoning wolves). And that means we're right back where we started, still without any info (well, the wolfings I suppose), and have to repeat the process, and so on.Comment

Re: TWG XXXVIII: THE RACE FOR THE PRESIDENCY
We won't get any new info, but is the wolves potentially getting to pick the lynch worth getting info?
I'm open to any ideas right now, but I want to make sure what we do is the best thing we can do. Anyone paying attention, please interject.Comment

Re: TWG XXXVIII: THE RACE FOR THE PRESIDENCY
like I said earlier, if the wolves all vote together and cause the lynch they'll have to either explain that later or lie when we reveal our votes day two. and I'd rather sift through lies than keep taking stabs in the dark.Comment

I mean, that's what I've been saying... I'm not trying to say we should stop talking about the game or whatever in the thread or post suspicions or anything. I just don't see the point in giving the wolves a free pass to bandwagon.Comment

Re: TWG XXXVIII: THE RACE FOR THE PRESIDENCY
Talisman has a point. It leaves today open for the wolves to get a free kill, but it would set us up for success for future days. What I suggest with revealing votes tomorrow, we need should find one person to send our vote picks into first, and then have said person reveal the list. This is to avoid having wolves bandwagon in the thread saying "Yeah I voted for so and so who got lynched yesterday". Only problem is if that one person is a wolf, they can play with the information. In which case, maybe we should send the info to two people?hiComment

Re: TWG XXXVIII: THE RACE FOR THE PRESIDENCY
Day is over in 4.5 hours. I think it started 43.5 ago(which would make it a normal length day) but I'm not sure.
It is quite evident that there's alot of people who just can't post today, don't know the game's on, or just chose not to. I'm going to assume the latter isn't true, and request that Day 1 get extended. Obviously this is up to fojar, but I vote we extend the day at least until tomorrow night sometime. (10-12EST)
@ talisman: That makes it sound so much worse "giving the wolves a free pass to bandwagon"
About what hans suggested, you're saying we send them to that person before the lynching happens?Comment
