Lots of reasons.

For most of the day, I thought I'd be able to just lynch Zenith without having to claim. Lots of people saw him as a good backup option and a lot of people also suspected him.

But I saw the way the lynch was going, and it wasn't going to end up on Zenith. Too many people were openly against it. Maybe DBP was going to support lynching Zenith of the people who weren't already voting for him.

If the town doesn't lynch Zenith today, they're not lynching Zenith tomorrow. He could also get vigi'd tonight if there's a one-shot vigi. I also realized that if I get nightkilled, I can't help lynch Zenith at any point other than now.

Claiming was definitely in my best interest.

Stop the charade because you just fakeclaimed hard and I'm calling you out on it

This is in regards to Nawk: His claim is 100% bullshit.

Hidden Lynchee's receive a towny PM regardless or mentions in my role PM anything about being "Towny" when it doesn't, ergo I am not the hidden lynchee and Nawk is not the Lyncher.

Mashi, you're the foremost Nawk scholar here. Is claiming like that typical of him? Does he have a tendency to fakeclaim at all?

I do fakeclaim sometimes, but usually when I do it it's to force someone to counterclaim.

i thought this was true, i was under the impression that the lynchee was always a VT. didnt someone say otherwise and that ANY player could be the hidden lynchee? im too lazy to open the setup but i think the former is correct

Nighty does fake claim a lot for reaction tests on LLF (once, he even fake claimed fake claiming with a real claim!), but he doesn't do so unless he has something to back out on and avoid garnering suspicion for it. I think his Lyncher claim is trustworthy.

Roles were randomized, then if necessary, a random player was picked to be the Hidden Lynchee, no matter what alignment.
