hated weak cult leader isn't much of a threat right now, since that is the case if only one C is rolled. also being a weak cult leader sucks he can go visit a red and die. SK will be obvious after we lynch someone today.

I didn't really think about what his motivation was at the time. The potential hated roles are the cult leader, SK, towny, or survivor. Softing hated automatically narrows his possible roles down to there, and his earlier post about "digging his alignment" implies that he's not a vanilla town (because he also said that he feels sorry for anyone who rolls VT this game). That would leave him as one of the 3rd party roles. The only benefit I can see coming from this is that it would make people more cautious about voting him if he's already at a +1 votecount.

The only benefit out of anyone softing or claiming hated (which I am, don't be fooled) is so you are more cautious when voting said player.
I think it was a good idea to try to let you guys know this as early as possible, because if 7 of you have your votes on me then you would never realize I was hated unless I stated it previously and would be insta'd.
I am definitely hated (which I think yoshL did this on purpose you BASTARD++), so I would like you guys to be careful when voting me, and I am certainly not a wolf.
Like choof said, the only town-aligned role that can be hated is VT, and my statement about said VTs was Wifom.
I'm very pissed off at all of you for playing like shit at the moment and forced me to out my very tedious decisions and movements this early in the game when you should all be good enough players not to fall into dumbass stipulations and you should all rethink what the fuck you are saying, you feel me?

No one forced you to out yourself, if you look above I actually was right on with a possible motivation for softing hated. You could have left it at there and let people discuss but you've chosen to out yourself now. I think what's important is whether you are anti-town or not because if you're an SK/cult leader I'd prefer you lynched today. If you're a VT (hated) (which I doubt) or a survivor then whatever

Also I was thinking about this while I was about to fall asleep, but AA looking for the Jester is pretty moronic at the moment.
The reason being is that claiming Jester is nearly creating a false shield around you, because town isn't going to vote the Jester (if jester is known), while Third Parties and Wolves may either kill during night or just keep them alive.
AA is nearly looking for a the jester because the jester is protected due to his wincon and town does not want to lynch the jester, ergo any fakeclaim would satisfy AA in the sense that he doesn't know better, and could possibly pin a wolf as the jester, and that wolf is now under veil because AA was too focused on the Jester and not on the rest of the game.

If it satisfies you, I am neither SK or Cult Leader, I would be this obviously read or be a major point in the game thus far if I was.
Those two roles if present in this game are certainly within people who haven't posted or people who are avoiding any direction thrown on them, as you want to stay relevantly hidden as those roles (unless you are choof who immediately went town-aligned SK).
