actually I'd like to add to my earlier statement

We aren't in opposition of roles like survivor and jester

But we still need to be wary of these roles because a mislynch on them means we didn't get an anti-town

and for the record zenith, you don't have to be "actively seeking" in order to make those kinds of reads

you're making it seem like he's rolehunting and therefore scummy

I'm not saying anything about how any form of rolehunting (his or mine) is alignment indicative; all I said was it was peculiar

@choof, I'm not literally posting in thread "oh he definitely not jester, oh they are definitely third party" and AA is boldly stating a read that I am not the jester which strikes me as odd this early in the game.

If you are town, you do not want to lynch the jester (at least in other variants lynching the jester/fool ends game causing them to win); and I don't know if just one third party wins at endgame if their wincon is fulfilled or if anyone who finished their wincon wins. If you are a wolf or SK, you want to either kill the jester immediately or keep them alive (I've seen it done both ways).

I don't think it's a waste of time, however I don't think d0 is the best time to search for the jester

Zenith hinted at being "hated" which made me pull my vote off of him

a jester's win con is being lynched so they'd want as many votes as possible on them, hence why I doubt he's a jester cause he didn't want my vote on him

i chalked that up to being a zenithism

you don't want to lynch the jester because like dbp said it's not an anti-town lynch. It doesn't end the game however. D0 is a great time to search for the jester so we can maximize our chances of an anti-town lynch

how can you be so certain the information you perceive to have isn't just a fraud and you're falling into confirmation bias due to impartial situations that happened for mere seconds?

he's doing something he almost always does and if you think that he was softing a "hated" modifier, I urge you to reread the potential setup because there are definitely town-aligned roles that can be hated
