Re: TWG CVI: Postgame
5b. Two IRL friends CANNOT play in the same game. Parties cannot have a Player-to-Player relationship, nor can they have a Host-to-Player relationship. There is a possibility of account sharing, whether allowed or not, and possibility of exchanging information outside of AIM/thread. "TasselFoot (7:59:32 PM): 2 IRL friends can't play in the same twg." If you have a problem with this rule, ask Tass yourself.I want to address this real quick. We expressed in the twg chat that we both wanted to play and no one had an issue with it. People stated it had been done before and that those rules are a little outdated. We shared no information and wouldn't. Being anon made this even more solid. AJ wouldn't even admit to me when he was killed. I was like you were SK weren't you and he was like "no I'm still alive" lol. It wasn't until Jon was killed and came into the wolf chat that I knew that AJ was in fact killed.
I am lenient on this rule untill it is abused and adversly hinders a game. Once that happens, I will enforce the rule from then onward. If you and Halogen can be responsible about it and no issues arise then I am fine with letting you both play in the same game.
I've had problems in the past with IRL freinds knowing other people's accounts/passwords, or leaving half drafted PMs up on their computer only for the other person to hop on the computer and see it which ends up destroying the wolf team.
As long as the IRL aspect isn't used to get an advantage outside of what the other players in the game are capable of, I see no problem.AAA's = 800

Re: TWG CVI: Postgame
attacking wolf teammates and even trying to lynch them can actually be a fantastic strategic move. just as long as there's nothing spiteful to the point of being stupid like nightkilling a teammate, everything else is and should be fair game.
also, though, remember that you already know who your teammates are; humans don't. you might pick up on more of their tells because you have all of the knowledge, and that can be a tell in itself.

Re: TWG CVI: Postgame
aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa, I've been hitting myself for the past few days.
I was first on the replacements list and was playing along, my phase-one wolf reads being the US, France, and Germany ... but seeing Mexico getting beat down (whose posts were looking very human to me, but maybe only because I had suspicion on US and France) and the sorry state of the town (thanks Velo for giving the town their only wolf kill for a while) made me not want to play in that environment. (Totally forgot Mexico could be the vengeful nation and would want to get lynched.) But, so, yeah, I told Xiz I wasn't totally interested in playing anymore and somehow convinced myself that no one would want to get replaced ... so I ended up talking with dAnceguy and learned all the wolves. And then Xiz came to me asking for a replacement, but, yeah, I knew too much. But then the group title changed to Japan being replaced, and I was like, wait, I could have subbed in as a wolf! ... I was still reading along though, aaand then later, I was told the identity of the masons (even though it wasn't hard to figure out, Russia/Derek guessed it, I should have told dAnce not to tell me anything more) and couldn't sub in for Sweden. So ... Yeah. I was just sitting here going crazy the whole time. I really, really wanted to shake things up. Learned now never to cave in when I'm on the replacements list, though, so that's helpful.
Anyway, really excited for getting to play in the next game, whatever it ends up being.
The anonymous game worked as a good introduction for newcomers. Maybe concurrent jTWGs could start again if there will be that many new players. Though maybe I wish games were smaller and shorter just 'cause I'm aching to play, haha.Comment

Re: TWG CVI: Postgame
Let me get a headcount of interested players. If we've got 24+ Active players I'll re-open Jtwg.
Then we can have two 12 player games going.AAA's = 800

I'm opposed to using the jTWG label; would rather have two concurrent games open to everyoneComment

Re: TWG CVI: Postgame
Tokzic and I play in the same games all the time, and though we don't live together anymore, we do hang out frequently, and it's never been a problem. I even managed to not ask him if he was playing in this game! I don't think it is much different than not allowing other out-of-thread talk, just gotta trust that people will be honest.
Also js I would've killed V too eventually. It was sooooooo obviously V (trying to pretend to be Fiction at times?) that I would've wanted to guess just because I know I would've got it right.
I also liked this game length. It was short without being too short, or maybe it just felt short compared to the last super-long one. I'd be down for some 12-player games though!Follow my dog on Twitter: https://twitter.com/Riles_puppyComment

Re: TWG CVI: Postgame
I understand why it can be an issue but AJ and I like to compete against one another haha. So we would never share information. For this game I brought up my wolf game stuff on a different browser so it wouldn't be mistakenly seen by him for any reason. We were very careful not to see one another's computers.I want to address this real quick.

I liked it being a fast game as well. I also just really enjoyed how this game was setup. I know the guessing was a little crazy but it was fun for me to investigate and try to figure out ways to find out who people were.Originally posted by CharuMy dick is good, thank you very much. Re: TWG CVI: Postgame
I'm game for this. 12 player games will be just as fast as this game, haha.
Agreed with dance though, take out the Jtwg part and just say put two TWG's side by side.

Re: TWG CVI: Postgame
I was perfectly fine with trying to lynch teammates and such, but his behavior was too erratic and obvious imo. I mean to be like oh I know who Germany is I can kill him if you want then jumping to oh no I think he's human now. Following my votes on the first day making us look connected which I didn't want obviously. Idk there was a lot of erratic behavior that felt really super obvious to me. There was also little discussion on strategies within the wolf chat.attacking wolf teammates and even trying to lynch them can actually be a fantastic strategic move. just as long as there's nothing spiteful to the point of being stupid like nightkilling a teammate, everything else is and should be fair game.

Re: TWG CVI: Postgame
honestly, I don't see this being a major issue being that I am extremely put off by j-rodd's response to the wolf win and am not sure how much I want to deal with that kind of reaction -- I personally have the ability to check IP addresses throughout the forums, but I wouldn't have ever done that given that a.) I legitimately wanted to enjoy a TWG game and b.) I wouldn't be stupid enough to try and get myself and/or Kayla removed from a game (or future games) because of doing something stupid.I want to address this real quick.

If the whole IP-checking thing was a serious remark, I'll just back off from these games so there's no speculation about it anymore. It's pretty obvious that Kayla is quite good at the game herself and I have a lot of other things I could be doing on the site anyway.Comment

Re: TWG CVI: Postgame
oh yeah yeah fair enough. what I meant was, you attacking France or Japan or whoever and actually intending to kill them can be a really good thing for your team.I was perfectly fine with trying to lynch teammates and such, but his behavior was too erratic and obvious imo. I mean to be like oh I know who Germany is I can kill him if you want then jumping to oh no I think he's human now. Following my votes on the first day making us look connected which I didn't want obviously.
definitely keep in mind though that you are focusing on what your teammates are doing. humans might look at something you thought looked obvious and not be able to tell it apart from that other thing human #5 said earlier. all in the eye of the beholder.
edit: @Halogen anonymous games aren't played all that often, so it shouldn't be an issue regardless.Comment

Re: TWG CVI: Postgame
If IP-checking was involved, it's fairly easy to know due to actions like that being logged. That being said, it's limited to mods who should know better.Comment

J-rodd was probably trolling (he does that a lot), but I'll let him comment on that.honestly, I don't see this being a major issue being that I am extremely put off by j-rodd's response to the wolf win and am not sure how much I want to deal with that kind of reaction -- I personally have the ability to check IP addresses throughout the forums, but I wouldn't have ever done that given that a.) I personally am not worried about the IP check ability for three reasons:
1) It's only a problem in these anon games, and they're hosted infrequently at best.
2) Personally I feel like we do a good enough job with moderator selection on the forums that we don't need to question the integrity of our moderators for something silly like advantage in a forum game.
3) You and Velo are the only ones with access to such things and you both died D1 without namekilling anyone. It's pretty obvious there was no cheating going on.AAA's = 800
