Re: Any poorly made Dragonforce sims?

    Okay, I played it.

The guitar is stepped very well. (except for that part in the opening where you have 16ths when it should be 12ths; it's the part with all those left-handed 16th jacks) The problem is that it feels so empty because even when more prominent sounds come up in the song you're still stuck on whatever the guitar happens to be doing there.

The chart as it is is good for an 'I'm playing guitar hero' feel, so I'd leave it as-is then make a semi layered chart above it (and maybe even a full layered chart just to be a jerk)

EDIT: Also, the gap is off. It should be -0.02, so that the first note comes 0.02 seconds in

They're 12th notes? I doubt that but I'll double check. And I thought I did put the gap @ -0.02. What was it at?

And yeah, I think I've been playing too much GH. I'll make a semi-layered chart for this too though like you said.

Thanks, man! I really like how the solo turned out. The rest of the song's ok. I mean the intro's fun and a few other parts, but the solo makes the sim no doubt. Oh and I'm glad you liked the jacks. I was kinda worried about that part.

Yeah the jacks were awesome. And the solo O.O
Only thing is, too many hold parts. Could have stepped some drum(wether 16th bas or somethin esel) for part of it. Moslty, good sim!

Yeah I know. Think of the sim that you played as a "rough draft". I'm gonna incorporate some drums. And yes, there will be some rough transitions I guess, but like that other guy said, it's a necessary evil lol. Also, I meant to go over a couple places in the file you played, but forgot too. Nothing major, I just forgot.

I'm thinking with the guitar it has a lotta potential if I just add the drums at the right places. Hopefully then it'll be a top DF sim.

It's just such a popular band I thought I'd be able to prove myself this way. I wanted to make a really popular sim. And besides, the solo's insane. It deserved a sim just for that ^_^.

Aiight man, well the rough draft is good in that case. And I wouldn't really consider trans. a necessary evil, seeing as I like them lol
And yeah, it's good for the most part. A little drum stepping and voila!

Well that's what I'm doing right now. Then it should be perfect.

Also, regarding those other parts that I mentioned: both are fixed. The biggest of the two was the 4th notes at the end of those 24ths. Remember? I actually forgot to finish that part . It' all good now though. I'd post a link to the chart, but my comp keeps freezing on me.

Just wait 'til I get the drums one up .

Aiight man, sounds good. I'm thinking of a certain part. Music wise, it's calm. You stepped the guitar. It could have a fun part of 16ths there, since there isn't too much.

Well I double checked and they certainly aren't 12ths. Also the gap IS -0.02.

And sente3, I'm almost certain I know what part you're talking about. I'll be sure to step that.

I've just started stepping the drums and it's amazing how much more fun it is to play already. And the layering is going surprisingly well I might add. I also did my best to make those transistions clear. There won't be any confusion.

The drums won't take too long to layer in. It should be done in like 1-2 days. Then it should be perfect!

Finally!! The version that includes the drums (Heavy, 14 feet) is done! Bes ure to read the description before you play it:

Obviously the layering isn't 100% consistent. That's impossible if you decide to include the drums. I tried to step whatever was most interesting.

Please lemme know what you think. Any areas to improve on? I'm trying to make it perfect (like I said before). Some places I couldn't "overlayer" or it'd make it look too sloppy.
