Best DF solo I've ever seen. You like it? Just lie to me if you have to . I just put so much time into it.

Finally finished the file!!! Well kinda. I'm not sure how the guitar-only thing's gonna do. So if people don't like it, I'll compromise the detail on the guitar and layer it with the drums (put it under edit).

I also had 3 things changed ont he solo.

1.) minor pattern restructure

2/3.) I missed 2 small 24th "bursts"

This'll be considerably harder than TTFATF. Just look at the solo. 32nd notes is crazy @ that BPM.

1.) Does 13 feet Challange seem right?
2.) Should I change those left-handed trills to U L U L U, etc. (instead of D L D L D, etc.)?

13 or 14, depends on what the file besides the solo is. Pretty much, that will work, I'd say.
And, about those trills, keep some of them DL and make some of them UL, just to vary it some. You don't really want it the same each time. If that would bother you in case you are strict w/ Pitch Relevancy, it's still ok because PR isn't a perfect way to step as it is.

EDIT: I just rewatched that solo. If the rest of the file is at least decently hard, I'm goin' with a 14 man. There is a lot of 24ths and a fair amount of 32nds in that solo.

With the absence of the drums it must be a 13 then. The intro has a lotta 16ths, and there are a few in the middle too, but with just the guitar it's not too much. And yes, the trill question was asked because of the pitch consistency. I will vary it a bit though like you said.

Also once I upload the sim, lemme know if adding drums and layering them with some guitar would be a good idea. I'd then put that in the edit option (or other way around). Initially I just thought the drums were too boring, but now they may be necessary in keeping the difficulty high. Just seems a bit empty without them.

Yeah, semi-layering would be the best option in the event I decide to do that.

It just seems too empty at parts. All the guitar sections kick ass though, but still. I don't want slower parts to drag down the rest of the sim.

Be sure to read the sim description though to understand why I did everything that I did.

I'm open for changes. Semi-layering sound good. It's just inconsistent that way and that bothers me. I don't see any other option though. The only alternative produces how the sim is presently. I guess DF sims can't be consistent though. I mean not 100% .

*edit* IDK about those jacks at the end either. Seems like it may be "overjackified." I tried replacing them with trills, but they seem too short and it detracts from the pattern. IDK.

I wouldn't step ONLY the guitar, that's just me. Transitions are a necessary evil.

Although, hell, six spots for a chart, you could have a 'hey guys I'm playing GUITAR HERO' chart along with one that changes around.
