I haven't tried using hyperspeed, so I'm not in a position to chip in on the debate, but I've always been one to stick with the non-speedmod side of things

Danceguy: As of the release of the 360 version, it isn't a debate anymore. By allowing Hyperspeed scores on the leaderboards and by allowing all achievments to be gotten under Hyperspeed, they effectively verified that it is in fact not cheating in any way.

I can't get those fast lines of the same notes down in misirlou. I'm either strumming to slow or too fast damn it.

Oh and the "No stairway" comment has to be referring to the part in the film "Waynes World" when Wayne starts playing "Stairway to Heaven" on a guitar in a music shop to which a clerk says, "Hey!" and points to a sign that says, "No Stairway to Heaven!".

Had to type it out for people who haven't seen Waynes World.

So I got back from playing at my friends house and I looked at my scores on my PS2, and I was like holy freakin crap!!! 431k on Freebird??? When did I get that?

Also, been submitting stuff on score hero. I did a god run (for me) of Psychobilly and posted it. I almost broke top 100. Check it out:

I can get everything in the solo parts, but there is one part that I cannopt do for some reason, and it happens 3 times in the song.

PS: I hit 94% of the note in Misirlou, and I got a 3 star. I wonder how that happened.

lol, that happened to me a lot too on Psychobilly. Practice mode is a godsend on that, as is hyperspeed.

Misirlou you are probably overstrumming. Understrummin equals low percent, low score. Overstrumming equals high percent, low score. Inbetween is where you need to be

And it will take a while. I still overstrum. I still can only get 4*'s that are like 40k away from 5*

Yeah, I use hyperspeed, it increased my Beast and The Harlot score by 50K.
Also, I could not pass Misirlou before using it.

shash, I never meant to imply that using hyperspeed could be cheating in any way, I just meant that I don't use them unless it's a very overwhelming majority (aka not in DDR)

Ya, Im Yusuke on Scorehero, if you want to compare. Thats the only song im beating you on right now.

And I was surprised at that run, really, I was doing it cuz I was pissed at failing Jordan like 8 more times, so I did it and was like holy crap!

KitN was an overstrumming nightmare, although i improved my score by like 60k. Example of how bad I was overstrumming: I 100%ed the noise build. I broke streak 5 times during it.

Ya, that bad.

EDIT: OH YA, my bro got the log today. First he beats Jordan before me, now he 5*'s the main set... goddamit! At least I only have Misirlou for the log. thats another overstrumming nightmare. any tips Shash?
