Dude I know a few bands that would be happy to let us used their songs. They are bad ass bands too that are on the rise. Check out Brother Von Doom and Chokeout on Myspace, I know them both personally. As well as Desolation. I have already talked to them and asked if they would be willing to and they agreed that it would be a good idea. I know tons of metal bands. Good ones too.

I doubt anybody who is willing to step bands like those will be able to make quality steps that can be accepted into FFR. Especially Brother Bon Doom.

...though I could be wrong.

Haha Indeed I do, but meh, it seems too complicated. At least for now anyways. I need to make some time to figure out how to actually make a simfile.

So is everyone here agreeing that they actually need to get some permissions before ANY chances of a Metal sub/genre occurs?

Ok how about this, in most of the music stores here, where we buy Cd's and ****. There is a Metal Section, SEPERATE from the Rock section.

That's most likely because there's so many metal songs, that it needs a section of its own before the rock section overflows. Essentially, metal still rooted from rock, which explains why some believe that it should just be considered a subgenre (or considered rock music altogether) for the purpose of efficiency.

Also, what in the hell makes you think that some store is going to make the FFR staff change the way they sort their music? THEY decide how to divide the genres, not some music store.

That's dumb. How is Children of Bodom, In Flames or Ozzy Osbourne ever going to accept to be in a flash game. Get some unknown local bands. My friend's band will surely accept if they release some demo. If you want some more metal songs, let's start at the beginning.

Seriously, Why the F*** is this such a complicated argument? They're aren't many Metal song because they are almost impossible to step if you're new to it. Plus, instead of talkin about it on this thread, why doesn't anyone step up and step something good already for Metal? BTW, Bark at the Moon isn't metal, and I personally think adding one DF song to FFR wouldn't hurt.

At least let them try and step some Metal songs, Tass will tell them what's wrong, and then they can choose to throw a pissy fit because they tried making a simfile for one of the hardest genres, or they can fix it. Simple as that.
