there are 1000's of metal bands so finding some that would agree to be on FFR should prove quite easy.

You say this like FFR is not allowed to add metal songs because there is no metal genre. All metal songs on FFR are (and probably will be from now on) in the Rock section. You'll just have to look for them there instead of finding them grouped up in a metal section.

You have this all backwards. You think that we should make a metal genre, so that more metal songs can come into the game...Instead you need to work to get more metal songs in the game, and if enough do, then you can ask for a metal genre.

Metal and Rock are two completely different genres, both with stupid amounts of sub-genres.

"Emo" and "Screamo" started recently, Scremo stemming from Emo, Emo being a sub genre of rock that began, I suppose with Fugazi, though not as we know it today.

Metal started in the 1960's and has evolved to the metal we know today, and most of its defining characteristics are a world away from rock, the only striking similarity that jumps out at me between the two is the instrumentation, and you can't just throw in every band with electric (not electronic) instruments into the rock genre.

I'm not proposing there be a Metal genre, as I doubt we could get enough songs to fill a page of it, i'm just bored and want a point to argue.

Metal is going under Rock until we get enough (Read: like 30) for it to warrant its own Genre. I don't ****ing care if you think metal has more gifts from God or whatever, the point is shut up and nobody cares k thanks
