    Sexplosion should definitely be VC

Even though AcidAce is a high 75, like really high (harder than Miraiya, around Feldschlatt and Bus Rides IMO), it's short and should be around that difficulty, but I foresee, like Variations and Puzzle, it will turn FMO after complaints. But IMO 75 is fine

Sexplosion isn't hard enough to be a VC. It's a high 9. AcidAce is by no means a high VC. Mid at best.

my skewed ratings may have a lot to do with me adjusting to my new speed mod, which is a large jump, from 1.6 to 1.75, it's making songs seem way harder so that could be it

Emulord: The skill token page already does that for you. It looks at the STs you've already gotten, then suggests the one of the lowest difficulty that you don't have yet.

@ Sexplosion argument: it's definitely got enough in it to be a VC - mini-jacks, funky bursts, some 64th swing, awkward but fitting chart structure; can be a low VC in my opinion.

Acid-Ace is a mid VC with a few tricky sections; nowhere near FMO

If it suggests the easiest one, then Otaku Speedvibe [oni] is easier than Gacha Gacha Figu Atto Radio.
I think it just suggests the first one you dont have.
I'm thinking of a list that ranks them 1-99.

Sexplosion is borderline and can be VC.

When we get enough statistical data I might change it.

                          Re: Ingame Song Information

Probably been talk of this video game stuff before, but I don't remember when and where that was all said, and I was just thinking about it, so if it's all stuff that's been said before then, eheheh... oh well. Anyway...

It seems like video game remixes are being labled inconsistently (whether they fit into another FFR genre or not).

Thrash the Plank and Through the Martian Hell have no mention of their video game roots, yet Four Blocks Madness (aslo in Rock) does.
A couple of songs have "game remix" slash another genre: The Lunatic Princess and Lover Reef.
Some say "Game Music" instead of "Game Remix", like Almost There, which is a remix.

I don't know which all songs are game remixes, otherwise I wouldn't mind going through the whole list myself...

And what about music that is directly from a video game? I know there's Ska Cha Cha and Gene Gadget Zone Act 1... Like, it's that their being from a video game doesn't really define the genre of the track.
And that could be said for other tracks, where "Game Remix" seems like a slapped-on label like calling anything furry "Anthro" and nothing else (I'm looking at you, DeviantArt).

Anyway ... yeah, I was just looking at the list of my files on my profile. After Altair and Spacedust's genres don't mention that they're video game covers ...

The Games We Played just says "Piano Medly"... "VG" could be added like it was done with Four Blocks Madness. So Reverse Squiggley's genre could be "Piano VG Mashup" or something. Melodies from two tracks doen't really constitute a medly, heh.

On another note unrelated to the video game stuff, the genre for my track Hadazamui Rittou still hasn't been fixed. It should be "Experimental" like my other ones.

Also, Rain's genre says "Piano Contemporary" but Snow and Sleet just say "Contemporary", so it should be consistent one way or the other (probably add "Piano" because "Contemporary" can be glued on to just about anything).

Designating arcade genres is still messy.

There are probably a few songs in which their roots have been unaccounted for. The specificities on whether a song is recognizable enough to fit in the arcade genre vs any other genre is a pretty grey area I have to admit. Maybe you can help jx on this one.

These need to be fixed for consistency like the rest.

"Game Music" probably refers to music that's more closely related to 8-bit stuff; music that most people would recognize as such: "oh! Sounds like it came from a video game." As opposed to music that derives from a game but its genre departs a lot further from 8-bit.

Once again, we're going to go for the music itself at this point to define the genre.

Ones with "Game Remix" probably haven't been defined well enough, so if you have a more specific genre, please suggest it.

Not everyone knows whether a song derived from a video game or not, so please mention them if that's the case. (see the first quote I responded to)

Well, I think that's getting a bit too picky now.

Haha, that one's a joke. I had it as experimental, but Tass changed it to "Sexy" for the lulz. No one has questioned it since.

                            more piano vs less piano
Also, contemporary in this sense refers to contemporary piano pieces, where the music isn't structured by musical forms that follow the Baroque, Classical, or Romantic periods. Contemporary piano music began in the early 20th century, after the Romantic period.
