    Re: FFR Legacy Opinion Poll

I think it's stupid to have Legacy files get their own level ranks... If that's the case, I suppose every genre deserves one as well. Cool guys, I have an average rank 1 on Funk genre!!

I am only in for the removal of files only if we have the overall general public consensus and moreover the stepartist's permission. But I know some of you guys are so stubborn because of the scores you all worked on.

Dossar's suggestion is interesting and seems the most plausible. However, the only downside to this is that there would be no point and no achievement in playing these files. It is essentially a waste of your time haha. They're just buffer files in the engine if that was the case.

Moving the legacy into token ranks is absurd because there should be a requirement to unlock these files in these specific ranks. Might as well brainstorm some requirements, but then this is another case of making FFLBF secret when it was already released in public for quite some time.

My current vote goes to leaving them in the engine and do nothing with them. Yes we will have "crapply stepped" files every once in a while, but it seems that everyone's hatred towards Legacy files as a whole is mainly based on the fact that they cannot score well due to how poorly synced they are. But imagine the resources Synth had back in the days and compare it to the resources we have now. Just play the file as is, since that is part of the challenge.

Hey, instead of letting them have their own ranks, how about we just make them... you know... not count for anything?

          Re: FFR Legacy Opinion Poll

Yeah like really, we all worked hard for them, why should they be removed? And even if they stay why take them off of the ranks. They are a part of the game and history and removing them from the ranks and stuff just doesnt seem right and fair. Who cares if they are off sinc and hard to AAA. If you cant AAA them or get a good score than just dont play any of the files. Not like average rank means anything anyways.

            1) Quality assurance of files. New people play this shit and either don't notice how terrible they are, or they go wow these files are shit, site sux bye

            2) Do something like my idea and people are still rewarded for it, while they won't plague others' ranks

            3) Avg Rank does matter to some

just 2 more cents, not attacking your opinion

Well if Average Rank matters to some then they should invest their time into playing the files and getting good scores on them. Its not like they are impossible to get good scores on, sure they may be a pain in the ass, and they are but not really worth taking out of the game for that reason. I mean i GUESS if they are taken out it wont really matter to me and i wont be butt hurt but im just saying. They really should stay.

Inevitably, I don't care what happens to the Legacy files, but I am just offering a piece of my thinking as a player on FFR.

Justin, I completely glossed over your suggestion so my apologies for that. That may work, but do you think it's a little silly to have files in the game strictly for a profile badge/tokens and no associated rank? Seems like all files on FFR have their scores ranked.

This is more accurate. I myself have the legacy genre AAA'd so I'm the least "mad cuz bad" to give input on this.

Whatever ranks they'd get moved to, all that matters to me is to just not include them in the public average rank calculations.

Naw, I do agree that they should stay, and I also think they should be ranked. I just don't think they should be a part the public level ranks.

Games progress forward... nostalgia is fine, but it's like keeping a certain room from an old game all pixely just for old times' sake while the rest of the game improves.

Hey as long as they are ranked its all good. But LOL, they are a part of history. Like Mountain Dew, They have made ALOT of new flavors but they are still keeping the Original even though they all pretty much taste better. The old files arent as good as the new ones but why make em go away.

But they're BAD... the first time they made mountain dew, it was BAD. They made it better, and now they've stuck with the best one that made them famous...
