Oh, and I like the idea of if there's a three way tie for 2nd, that all three teams that tied for second play another round, and whichever team with the highest score gets a bye for the next round which would consist of the other two teams having to battle it out. Then the team that wins that round plays the high-scoring team from the previous round for 2nd place, then whoever wins out of that matchup plays 1st.
Okay, I made it sound complicated.
Hmm ...
Team 1 - 1,000 points
Team 2 - 500 points
Team 3 - 250 points
Team 4 - 125 points.
Teams 2, 3, and 4 play each other in Round 4.
Team 2 earns 50 points.
Team 3 earns 60 points.
Team 4 earns 55 points.
Team 3 has a bye for Round 5, while Teams 2 and 4 play each other in Round 5.
Team 2 earns 100 points.
Team 4 earns 50 points.
Team 4 places last. Team 2 ties for 2nd with Team 3 and thus has to play Team 3 in Round 6.
Team 2 earns 100 points.
Team 3 earns 125 points.
Team 3 ties for 1st place while Team 2 earns 3rd place.
Teams 1 and 3 face off in Round 7 for the championship.

I like that idea. Or instead of having the 4th round where all 3 teams play, it can be the 3 totals, and the highest total gets a bye. This is the total from the first 3 rounds. But either way, I like the idea of that.Comment
