It can be useful as the challenges progressively get harder (Really they wouldn't be a challenge for you until the very bottom tiers of the chart, but I digress).
Remember too, all items in the TCG can be traded between players, so you can pawn it off if you'd like.

Missed are not early or late, so they don't count for either. So yes, it would have to be a FC.
I wonder if you can count a miss as being infinitely early or infinitely late? Or is judging the timing of a miss more like dividing by zero? Would the result be simply null? Now I need to ask a mathematician or something.
