10 misses to fail out, 4444-10 = 4434
4434 notes to get nonmisses and misses on = 2217 nonm/2217 miss
add 10 misses back = 2227

I only hit 2217 notes.

The common misconception is 4444/2 = 2222 + 10 (health you start with) = 2232, but if you missed 2232 notes, you would only hit 2212 notes, meaning you would have to start the level with full health.
