I'm kind of wondering about this too. From the way the rules say "choose which banner they enjoyed the most", it looks like users are supposed to vote for banners individually, but ...

I have two banners that are the exact same design, but one goes on near-black and one goes on orange. If each banner were to get four votes, that would still be eight votes for the design, just split by BG color ... so the design would get less recognition if votes don't pool.
So if votes are going to go to each banner rather than the design itself, then I'd like to only submit one of them to avoid vote-splitting.
... Oh, wait, I just remembered that I can do this:
This can be used with any dark or bold color in the orange range. Will look similar to my second image up there on that orange background, and this is how it will look on a dark background:
So yeah, I'll just submit the one with transparency. Doesn't look so great on the forum background, so it would be nice if this example can be placed with the submission in voting, and that way voters can see how it would look on a background in the right color range (with it being noted that it is one submission.)
More banner color variation in case all the winners have black backgrounds or something. Whee.

Just a reminder that voting will begin at 12AM server time, so get voting once the new day begins!
As voting wasn't made clear enough (I apologize) I'll elaborate here. When you vote, do it for your personal favorite banner a submitter made. This will not split up votes for the entrants (regardless of which banner is voted on, it counts as 1 vote for that person). If a person with multiple images wins, the submission people voted on the most will be chosen for the site display.
For ease of figuring out which submission you are voting for, it'd be nice if you just added an image of it with your vote or something. I'll add all this to the OP as well.

I did intend to enter all my submissions if it ended up being that vote-splitting between one person's submissions wouldn't effect placing. (I just didn't expect it to be the case based on the old wording of the OP.)
Anyway, my favorite is a tossup between WolfXhunter's and PrawnSkunk's submissions. I guess I gotta go with the arrows.
