but everyone has different playing styles

You need to pass songs a certain way. For example, getting 40 credits in 1 song will get you a token. Passing Free Space will get you a token. AAAing Free Space will get you ANOTHER token. There's a lot of songs that give you tokens. A list can be found in the "Tokens" link on the front page.
Make sure you don't confuse tokens with skill tokens.
