I'll usually return a thumbs up if your profile is a bit customized or you seem like a good enough person. Heck, I'll even return comments.

However, I will not accept a friend request unless we've at least exchanged a few comments and gotten to know each other.

This isn't because I'm a mean or sour person or anything. I don't like having a friend's list cluttered with a dozen names of people I've never spoken with before. There may be some exceptions, say, if we've spoken at least indirectly on the forums. However, random adds is a big no-no.
If you do choose to add me, I'll check out your profile, and one of two things will happen. Either: I feel like you're boring and reject your request, or I feel like you're interesting and start a conversation with you.
But chances are, I won't just add you. (Alright, I've made exceptions to this before, but no longer!)

   Understandable. I'm not one of those people that are gonna add you for no reason ^^ I always return a comment,and in response to your comment, I've been doing alright. Been trying to create some new pony songs in Stepmania, but haven't had a whole lot of confidence lately to do so. How about you?
