When You Leave

You hold me tight to your chest,
I’m close enough to hear your heart,
I hold you tighter,
Trying not to cry,
You tell me not to cry and that you’ll be back soon,
My voice breaking and my vision is fuzzy,
I reply okay I’ll try with a little sniffle,
You kiss me, and say I’ll always think of you baby,
I whisper in your ear I will too and I love you,
You blush and say I love you too,
Then you start walking out the door,
I wave good bye and watch you leave,
As soon as you leave my sight and as I close the door,
I fall to the ground holding my sides and balling my eyes out while whispering don’t leave me baby I need you.
