The Exploit works with any version, because none of the versions have been patched or modified by Sony, and they all have the same overflow. You can buy the original Lumines at ebay, gamestop, etc. Since it's a very old game, finding it new outside the internet will be almost imposible.
This is how yo do the exploit:

Sony's Official 3.5 Upgrade
1.5 update
3.5 Downgrader Package
3.4 OE-A Custom Firmware
Lumines game (buy it used at Gamestop for $20 before they run out and you have to pay $60 at ebay)

1. Format Card
2. Copy Sony's official 3.5 update into GAME/UPDATE folder in the PSP
3. Run update from game menu
Firmware is now 3.5
4. Format card
5. Unrar contents of 3.5 downgrader
6. Rename 1.5 update from EBOOT.PBP to UPDATE.PBP
7. Place UPDATE.PBP in PSP/GAME/UPDATE folder (The one you just open, not the psp's)
8. Ovewrite Memory card's PSP folder with this PSP folder
9. Run LUMINES game (game will run and reboot itself)
10. After game reboots, check firmware version to make sure HEN is running (go to system setting/system info and see if it says 3.5 HEN)
11. If it does Run x.yz update from game menu(there should be other choices, so be careful)
12. Follow prompts
13. Reboot
Firmware is now 1.5
13. Format card
14. Copy the two 3.4 OE-A custom software folders to PSP's GAME folder (340oeflasher and 340oeflasher%)
15. Run 3.4 OE-A update from memory stick(game menu)
16. Follow prompts
14. Reboot
Firmware is now 3.4 OE-A
15. Format card
16. Reboot in Recovery mode (Holding R while starting)
17. Make sure settings in advance/advance configuration are all disabled (somehow Sims and other games won't run otherwise)
Hide icon=enable
homebrew =1.5 (so you don't have to change it when you run emulators)
Everything else disabled.
Reboot, done, enjoy

I got waaay better at ITG!!!!!! on CIA rave hard edit which my bro made and i got 93%!!! relaly, and on cambodia i got like 88%(it's an edit) and i came up from 76% trying as hard as i can!!!!THANKS TO FFR I GOT 90'S AND I USED TO GET 60'S!!!
