Join me in thought Posted on: November 15, 2006, at 08:21:26pm Is there an inherent randomness to the universe? Think about it...hypothetically speaking, if we could record all of the given information at an instance in time (via a massive computing system) whats stopping us from analyzing it all and coming up with an exact answer to how things will occur in the future? After all if we could understand how chemicals in the brain form thought and cognition, we should technically be able to analyze how that brain will respond to incoming stimuli. With this in mind (no pun intended) couldnt we predict what a human might do next? And if this is the case, arent we all automatically pre-destined; A fate if you will. Coming from someone with an internal locus of control...i can tell ya that, that pretty much sucks. |
