It's about a boy named Ritsuka who is in the sixth grade, and his brother was apparently burned to death in his school desk, and he wants to try and find the killer, Septimal Moon- but along the way he meets Soubi, or Beloved- and claims that he is Ritsuka's 'fighter unit'- it's really hard to explain but it's really cool- and the humans with cat ears are virgins.
