yeah, just the .zip file should work. Try right clicking it and changing the file type in the properties.

You just need to drag the rom file you want to play(still in a zipped file format) over the actual picture of the NES(.exe file) of the emulator. Like so...

Keep the files in zipped form and try dragging them over the emulator's exe file and dropping it into it.

Would definitely not recommend starting with 1. The graphics are pretty bad and you can't fight more than one monster. Not to mention it's almost impossible to beat.

haha I know, the site I use is Romnation.net. It should have the best emulators on there as well as any game that isn't copy-written. If you want the good ones you'll have to search around google, nothing too difficult though.

None of the emulators for Nes, that I know of, have a speed addition. I'd suggest the first Four of the series(1-4), primarily 4. They're all on Nes and don't take long to beat, my best time is 4 hours ^^.
