Gas prices... FML

$4.50 per gallon? Big whoop!

UK prices are hitting £1.50 per litre. So that's what, £6.75 per gallon, or $10.60 per gallon for you US people. Our minimum wage is £6.08 an hour, so people with cars over here are getting ****ing stiffed.

Luckily I don't own a car, and live on an island barely more than 26 miles wide at its widest point. My bike is KING OF THE ROAD!

I have a gas station near me (BP I think) that's at like 3.99. I vividly recall back in the Summer of '08 when we were moving here, the price of gas would go up 2-3 cents a day minimum, and diesel especially was at 4.99 a gallon. Boy, it seems so long ago, who knew that would become the new normal?

the cheapest here in miami is like around $4.03 per gallon (and that's in Doral lmao). Some are hovering around $4.10-4.20 per gallon at some places (especially close to where I live @.@)

The closest gas station from my appartment is under a Sonic banner, so it'd be awesome if I had a methanol fueled car! =D

Kind of makes sense though because gas is a 100000 times more scarce than water. Luckily I don't have to drive around very often, but gas prices and gas shortages is going to become a huge problem.

How much does your electricity cost?
I am guessing a gas powered performance car would get about 20mpg?
Let's figure 25mpg.
So to travel 1000 miles would cost 40 gallons of gasoline. Say gas in your area is $2.50, that is $100.
If your electricity costs 10 cents/Kwh, and the vehicle goes 4miles/kwh (which is about what the Roadster gets), it would cost you $25 dollars to go 1000 miles.
So, about 75% cheaper with the numbers listed above.

There are none in California as far as I know

Our prices are around $1.35 / L right now, and are expected to go up to $1.50 / L by the summer. Yay Canada!
