Holy crap this is pretty awesome
Out of curiosity, I checked to see if I could run one of the FFR engines on my phone. Turns out it runs the R^3 engine like a boss lol as far as I could see it was smooth. So the question of the century is... How would one go about if they would want to play FFR via android/iphone? IS THERE AN ANSWER OUT THERE.

I remember a year or two ago someone proposed we could make an App or something. If it's done, it could bring a ton of new members here, but imagine how much time and work this would necessitate...
Also, iPhones can't handle the awesomeness of Flash. EDIT : Your phone uses Android, right ?

Re: Holy crap this is pretty awesome
I tried playing FFR using a tablet with a keyboard case once and it didn't end well. Never tried running the standalone though.

Re: Holy crap this is pretty awesome
It is very possible the fanbase would grow even more if done but it seems we kinda need someone that knows how to work with something like that, making the engine compatible with a touchscreen interface. Im no computer genius but that sounds like a completely different coding no one here knows how to operate.

Hm... I'll have to see if this will run on my Android phone (it's an HTC One).
As for the keyboard situation, I've been planning on buying one of these when I get some extra cash: http://www.powera.com/MOGA maybe it would solve that? They're about $50 at Fred Meyer / Kroger.

Re: Holy crap this is pretty awesome
I think I made a thread awhile ago about my playbook that could run any FFR just fine.
The problem is I need a bluetooth keyboard to go with it - under the configuration in the picture I have to tap the notes, but that functionality was disabled for whatever reason, making FFR on a tablet impossible without a keyboard. Would be cool to do tbh.

Reminds me of the time I ran the legacy engine on an old palmpc. I had to use the on screen keyboard and stylus, which was a nightmare. I gave up trying after a while, lmfao.
