I forgot that FFR was fun. I was more addicted to the competition, but now it's time for a break from thinking about scores, and just playing files that I enjoy. Fun is good.

I wish I could acquire this mindset. I have no control over my mentality about FFR and I play the game simply to get the best scores that I possibly can, which in turn leads to extreme frustration. It's horrible and I don't know what to do other than stop playing, and that's not going to make me happy.

It's no fun if you can get a full AAA bar without much trouble.

Wait till you become a high tier player, you will see why those two begin to separate from each other.

I'd fall under the fun category right now. After being inactive for two years I haven't even played half of the songs in the game. There's no way I could be competitive right now

I rarely play nowadays too, even though I used to play for hours back when I was my best. But I definitely do agree that too a degree, the fun from FFR diminishes when you're too concerned with scores. Just lay back and chill while playing instead of sitting on the edge of your seat. xD

I never said that it was fun to get a full AAA bar without trouble; the most frustrating thing is knowing I have the skills needed to get past certain sections but not being able to beat them on FFR. I'm still extremely upset at the fact that I can AAA La Campanella on SM, but not on FFR.

Just one of the many reasons why this game starts to frustrate me.

I also think that part of the reason that I'll never play seriously is because although I know I can AAA a majority of the songs from 1-8, I'm far too lazy to spend countless amounts of hours whoring them until I AAA every single last one of them. I'd rather spend that time challenging myself on more difficult songs and improving skills.

i play for fun. but my version of fun is competing in tourneys and whoring to try and win. ulimately falling short and coming in second.
