Ever since I started playing FFR seriously for ranks, the fun scale has died and just became more frustrating. Now I have reached my limit on things I can improve in my ranks, so now all the songs are overplayed and boring, in result I went back to stepmania. lul.

also, the files that are most fun to me are usually rated 9 or 10 so whenever I feel like derping around, I just play a ****ton of those

Playing competitively is going to wear you out. Much better to play for fun.

I don't see how having fun and playing competitively are mutually exclusive.

I play for fun. Thank God I can't AAA anything, otherwise I probably would be in the same boat as you.

I miss playing for fun...

Right now I'm too focused on completing some goals:

-AAA every 1-8 (just going through them randomly)
-Playing every song on FFR
-FC'ing all songs
-After AAA'ing every 1-8, then 9's
-After AAA'ing every 9, then 10's

After I'm done with all that, I am going back to playing for fun (I hope). I just want to get all those files out of the way so I can play 9-12's for fun

You would probably be playing extremely competitively by the time you're able to AAA all 10's lol. You would just move on to trying to AAA all 11's, and then 12's.

Lol, well I've continuously tried to AAA an 11, but I just can't do it (closest I got was blackflag) so if I get a skill boost then I probably am destined to do that

Wait till you become a high tier player, you will see why those two begin to separate from each other.

I play for fun, It's fun to see how much better I am getting and see how many songs I can AAA.
