Re: Cold Hands
Get one of those pairs of the small black gloves, and cut the tips of the fingers off.

Run your hands under warm water for a minute or 2.

Cold hands + FMO = Horrible PA/ Random Misses.
I just can't move them as fast. I'm going to go look for some gloves, thanks devonin! |

Re: Cold Hands
I guess I was more specific. Just wearing gloves would make your fingers slip all over the place, assuming the gloves were small enough to not make you hit more than one key at a time.
Those small black gloves with fingertips cut off have been a musician standby for years. |

Re: Cold Hands
I got used to playing in the cold because you can't do a lot of those things in a plane... But yeah, I do play slightly better under warmer environments. I only face the cold in an airplane. Can't you control heating in houses?
Below 40 degrees Fahrenheit + Choprite + 3 fingers + quite some luck = 10 0 0 0 FC Other Midday speaking: Real Midday, you're whack. Anyhow, yeah, what devonin said.

Re: Cold Hands
Or get one of those small heaters and have it blowing on your hands while you play. It gets particularly cold where I live anyway, so having a small space warmer is a pretty good idea to keep your entire body warm, not just your hands.

Re: Cold Hands
Works like a charm, but you have to keep applying more water after every few rounds. It's worth it if you really want a score.

Re: Cold Hands
When my hands get cold i put them in-between my ass and my chair for about a minute or so.

Sit on your hands right before you play.

Re: Cold Hands
Also, sometimes just rubbing your hands together real fast for about 30 seconds works.
Power of friction ftw.

Re: Cold Hands
Cold hands use to harm my gameplay due to fingers going numb after 5 songs. It sucks but my answer to that is going into another room and playing also playing at school too

Re: Cold Hands
I tried that once, just to see how hot I could get my hands. My hands were raw for the next couple of days because I rubbed off a bunch of skin without realizing it lmao

Re: Cold Hands
I always found that playing a lot of really hard stuff warmed my hands up. Continuing after that on average songs would keep them warm. Guitar Hero, any rhythm game using hands, or even writing a lot will get your hands warmed up enough to play during winter. Warm water gives you a really nice jump start.
