Now and Then, Here and There
Posted on: June 26, 2013, at 01:05:54am

The veterans forum asked what we were like when we joined FFR and how we are now. Here is what I wrote :

Then: I was 23 years old. I was working as a janitor. I had somewhat given up on studies after failing analytical chemistry hard. I had just gone to my first ever anime convention at Otakon in 2007. I was depressed and watched lots of anime. I dreamt of visiting Japan one day.

Now: I'm almost 29 years old. I work as guide-interpretor in the oldest learned society of Canada (www.morrin.org), I work to help people that have slight mental disabilities to get back in the work force (http://www.lepavois.org/), I founded an anime festival (www.nadeshicon.ca/en), I assisted the celebrations in Montreal of His Majesty the Emperor of Japan, am creating positive links between Quebec (Canada) and Japan, and am still dreaming of going to Japan. I am trying to convince myself to finish my University studies in International Studies and Modern Languages. Oh, and I'm touring the political parties in my province to see if I can make more contacts other than the Japanese General Consulate at Montreal and the General Consulate of America in Quebec City.

  1. Sounds like you're doing a lot of stuff man. I- we're proud of you. Continue to do good things for yourself and for others.

  2. I say chocolate to that ! ::P
