Now and Then, Here and TherePosted on: June 26, 2013, at 01:05:54am
The veterans forum asked what we were like when we joined FFR and how we are now. Here is what I wrote : Festival Nadeshicon 2013 is coming April 26th to 2Posted on: April 5, 2013, at 02:38:42am
Then: I was 23 years old. I was working as a janitor. I had somewhat given up on studies after failing analytical chemistry hard. I had just gone to my first ever anime convention at Otakon in 2007. I was depressed and watched lots of anime. I dreamt of visiting Japan one day.
Now: I'm almost 29 years old. I work as guide-interpretor in the oldest learned society of Canada (www.morrin.org), I work to help people that have slight mental disabilities to get back in the work force (http://www.lepavois.org/), I founded an anime festival (www.nadeshicon.ca/en), I assisted the celebrations in Montreal of His Majesty the Emperor of Japan, am creating positive links between Quebec (Canada) and Japan, and am still dreaming of going to Japan. I am trying to convince myself to finish my University studies in International Studies and Modern Languages. Oh, and I'm touring the political parties in my province to see if I can make more contacts other than the Japanese General Consulate at Montreal and the General Consulate of America in Quebec City.
Calling anyone that can make it to Quebec City between April 26th and 28th!!!Something to put yourself in the Holiday spirit!Posted on: December 21, 2011, at 01:32:06pm
As promoted by the one and only Hatsune Miku :
A Japanese pop and traditional culture festival called Nadeshicon is having a panel about Vocaloid by a huge fan on Saturday, April 27th.
Also free limited MIKUBOOK stickers will be given away to attendees at the Con!
Nadeshicon: April 26-28, 2013, at Université Laval, Québec
Lindsey Sterling is quite wonderful with the violin and her friends are great at making a neat montage.
As for me, I'm spending Christmas with family as usual. I need to get my clothes all nice and cleaned ^^
I wish to you all happy holidays and lots of chocolate!
Oh and my New Year resolution shall be:

April 21th and 22th 2012
Come one come all!
A fully fledged anime convention!!! (Over 600 attended last edition)
If FFR comes and demands a table, I'll give one for free if you are someone that I might recognize or that can prove that they are at least of Moderator status or higher ;)
Oh, and Pineapples!
For lack of knowing how to send a file through mIRC, here is my poem thingy:
Power Beyond Trust
Tasteless delicacies in an age of wonder,
Endearing flesh within a hand's reach.
Polishing a shoe lace without discernment,
Regulating those desired in an intricate web.
Ecstasy in destruction fills the soul of the lost,
Vengeance a dish never simple for the mind.
Insipid and without any substance it comes,
Eloquently creeping the veins of insanity.
Others seek freedom in the palm of a benefactor,
Freely giving death in exchange for freedom.
Pained, aggressive, incoherent, malice and vile,
True intentions masked by a past impossible to forget.
Light crept clearly in a fashion barely perceivable,
Surprise bluntly placed upon the front stage.
Bittersweet unbecoming which once was harmony,
Hidden inside this harmony lies the bitterest of fruits.
A sad story finally revealed in the deepest of caves,
Desperation upon one of the main characters.
Where fierceness no longer offers adequate motivation,
Understanding the truth becomes a spiralling fight.
No one seeks to be pure in heart as it is insatiable,
Tearing away the insurmountable barrier that is vice.
Blindness of innocence that does not fade away,
Battling to the very end what makes one’s fate worthwhile.
Friendship, respect, fidelity and innocence shattered,
Duel of the morals that bind what makes us human.
Screams multiplying as it comes to understanding,
Trials continue accumulating only to succumb to change.
The meaning of not liking someone deepens and yet remains a void,
Toying of a shadow passing by brings but another tragedy along history.
Hope so small seems appreciated no matter how it may be,
Taking a pause in resolution to greater effects to further develop.
Violating, mutilating, torturing and yet alluring,
Near or far away the nurturing of an innocent child grows into man.
Definitions confused throughout this story and yet they remain clear,
Is there not finality in the dawning of the two last acts?
Good and evil tend to loose their meanings when things are at a close,
One more tear as the never ending flow of sadness erupts to hope.
One can only see happiness after pain and sorrow,
Once again hope is but a means to an end…
