flicker on the game screen? +bad scores but shouldn't be
I'm noticing that after about two perfects I get a flicker across the game screen that keeps hitting every time I press another key... low rez didn't help, same problem. I own DDR 4 for XBox... can do a couple of Difficult songs in that, with my feet... so this should be cake at beginner level. Yet as I follow the beat, I'm getting random average/good/perfect. The game seems to be running smoothly enough otherwise, no sound problems and the graphics aren't stuttering... just that weird flicker... line thing... it does it both in FireFox and IE.
...not... fun...... -.- ....anybody got ideas? or is this just screwed for me... |

I have had this before i think. Is it a line that goes across the arrows receptors, when you hit the arrow?

Re: flicker on the game screen? +bad scores but shouldn't be
Yeah, the flicker is for everyone. At least if you're talking about the flicker that radiates from the PERFECT! or the GOOD. Try to ignore it, it's not that distracting after you get used to it. I don't even see it now, only when I want to notice it.
As for the bad scores, most of the songs in FFR are synced very well, except for some old files. By old files I mean files by Synthlight and Hyrogashi. If you're going for perfects, DON'T play Synthlight files. Try to play files with coloured arrows. It helps you find your beat. I've got a couple AAAs down my sleeve, so I don't think it's the game that's hindering your play. Maybe you should try to get a new keyboard? |

Oh... that flicker lol.
Hmm, weren't the suggestions concerning the option to turn the accuracy announcer off and the combo keeper off all rejected? Seeing the we have autofail now, the words and numbers are just plain distractions... On the contrary, it would seem too weird. Not for practicality reasons, but the flicker and stuff are all descriptive distinctions of FFR. X3

Once you play FFR for a while you tend to ignore it to the point where it suddenly dissapears. Then you're playing months down the road and go "Ooh, I never noticed that pretty flicker before!".

Re: flicker on the game screen? +bad scores but shouldn't be
hmm well thanks for the advice but I've tried a bunch of different songs and the results are still random. keyboard is fine, because it seems like the good/average/perfect message shows up immediately when I hit a key... but seems to have nothing to do with what the result should actually have been.
oh well, I have many other things to waste time on XD |
