Sucked! In the end they turned teh half-assed horror movie into a love story. I don't recommend seeing it.

Re: The movie Shutter
It came from the producers of The Ring and The Grudge, what'd you expect? The Ring or Grudge wasn't scary, you expect another movie they produce would be scarier?

Re: The movie Shutter
Touche'. It was way to predictable and the plot was trash. Like Disturbia.

Re: The movie Shutter
Everyone knows horror movies are no longer original. It's all too predictable.

Re: The movie Shutter
And yet some people find newer movies scary. I still like watching horror movies just to see a person die....man that sounds bad

Re: The movie Shutter
Shutter (North American version) is based on the Original Thailand Horror movie which was truly one of the scariest movies to date.
I haven't seen the North American version however I can predict that they butchered it.

Re: The movie Shutter
Both Ring and Grude were also based on movies from different countries and the original versions weren't scary, just boring. I'm sure it's the same with the original Shutter

Re: The movie Shutter
They butchered it. Can anyone recommend an actual scary movie?
Some of the cinematography is pretty decent, though. |

I'm asian. Friend saw it. Came to school today. Told me about it. Said something about asians being creepier than white people. Now I want to see the movie.

Re: The movie Shutter
Yeah, I would recommend I Am Legend. Most people I know didn't find it post-horror. I did. The realism depicted in that movie was astonishing, I've asked a few scientists who say that it's realistic, just not to that extent.

I want to see it, but my mind has been changed by this thread. How does it end?

The original Shutter made me develop a paranoia for ghosts that lasted for roughly 80 hours and I didn't even see it through till the end. I missed the end of the movie because I was too chicken **** and I kept looking behind my back like an idiot.

Re: The movie Shutter
Lol, I just watched the first 30 minutes of the original Shutter. I got to the part when he thought Jane was in that red room with him, then she called...that creeped me out, so I stopped.

Re: The movie Shutter
I saw it, unfortunately. It was the sadest piece of **** of a horror movie or any movie for that matter. Like, seriously, ****ing garbage. Like, how dumb was it to have the dumb ghost sit on his ****ing shoulders the entire movie lmao. Wow, so ****ing scary

Re: The movie Shutter
Agreed. I think they could have done more with the plot/theme. I mean, the idea to have the dead's spirit's appear only on the film etc was half-way decent. But when they turned it into a love story and **** it completely killed the aspect of horror. Actually, hardly any 'horror' movies are really horror anymore.
