Powerball Event #2!!!
Alright guys the moment you've been waiting for has finally come! Before I go any further into this I want to make an important announcement. After the success of the first event I did, one of our fellow members "funmonkey54" really liked what I did and decided that he would like to supply the credits for this particular event out of the kindness of his heart to show some holiday spirit. With that said, I will still be fully in charge of this event, and I will be transferring the credits to any winners. funmonkey54 will reimburse me for all of the payouts when it's all said and done so make sure at some point you take the time to thank him for his generosity! If any of you decide you want to donate to the event, I will make sure your credits go straight towards the top 3, maybe top 4 payout spots so that just like the lottery, we will have an increasing jackpot if no one wins!
Alright now onto the game and yes there are some changes, some good......some not so good. (if you're reading this, please give yourself a pat on the back because you are actually taking the time to read the rules, and for that there SHOULD be absolutely no bad changes for you! For those that decided reading is overrated and completely skipped over everything, well you're going to pay....literally. OK here we go, the UPDATED rules: 1) To keep you guys in suspense, (and the fact that I won't be around when they draw on Saturday), this contest is for the Powerball numbers that are drawn on 12/12/12....funny how that worked out lol, but this means you guys will exactly 1 full week to participate so there's no reason why anyone can't make time to get an entry in that wants to. 2) To play powerball, a person must pick 5 numbers (1 thru 59) and then a bonus number (the powerball) from a set 1 thru 35. 3) Since the odds of winning the big jackpot are highly stacked against us (1 in 175,000,000), I decided to add a "bonus" to this event. I will allow you to pick 1 extra number (1 thru 59) that you can count towards your first 5 numbers if it matches. THE BONUS NUMBER CAN'T BE USED AS A SECOND POWERBALL NUMBER. 4) To make it easier to read and determine a winner(s), my requirements are that you follow the exact format listed below (spacing and bold font doesn't matter I'll take care of that) [#,#,#,#,#] [#] [#] [1-59] [1-35] [1-59] 5) Holy crap you're still reading the rules?!? Give yourself another pat on the back and get ready to laugh and point fingers at the people who think "rules are for tools." Since I'm taking time out of my days to run this event, I think it's only fair that you guys take a few seconds and do something extremely simple for me A.K.A. follow my ridiculously easy to read format that is listed above. This is by far the most important part of the rules so I highly suggest reading it through thoroughly, more than once if you have to, and double check your submission or like I said IT WILL COST YOU!! So what does this mean you ask? It means: -Your numbers must be submitted from smallest to largest (excludes powerball and bonus numbers since they are by themselves) -The first five numbers must be separated with comma's as shown above, (NOT PERIODS, HYPHENS, FRONT/BACK SLASHES, ETC.) -All sets of numbers must be surrounded with brackets as shown above [] -Your submitted entry should have all 7 numbers present, if you forget one....well, you'll see. -I want your POWERBALL NUMBER ONLY TO BE RED as shown above.....dark red, magenta, orange, anything close to but not red.....umm sorry not gonna cut it. To make your font "red" all you have to do is highlight what you need to make red then click the drop down arrow next to the "A" at the top left of your message window and select the color red. -If you post a number outside of the given range for any set of brackets: 1) you can't read, and 2) sucks to be you -If at any point I go through and see that you edited your original entry in any way, you will be subject to the next rule. -IF ANY OF THESE RULES ARE NOT FOLLOWED I WILL NOT COUNT YOUR ENTRY UNLESS YOU SEND ME 2,000 CREDITS. ABSOLUTELY NO EXCEPTIONS AND THAT'S FINAL! You can be mad or call me a dick all you want but in the end I'm teaching you a very simple and important life lesson. If you feel the need to continue to argue, your fee just went up to 20,000 credits or your DQ'd instantly. -Lastly, submissions will be closed at 9PM SERVER TIME on 12/12/12 and one entry per person. Any submissions after 9pm server time on 12/12/12 will not be counted! **NOTE** I will continuously update the list of entrants and their numbers at the very bottom of this post. Now for the payouts (I increased the lower payouts from the previous event) ALSO, CREDITS IN RED WILL GO UP BASED ON ANY DONATIONS -If you hit Powerball ONLY = 1,000 Credits -If you hit Bonus Number ONLY = 2,000 Credits -If you hit Powerball and Bonus Number ONLY = 7,500 Credits -If you hit 1 number (Bonus not included)= 1,000 Credits -If you hit 2 numbers (Bonus not included) and powerball = 3,000 Credits -If you hit 2 numbers (Bonus included BUT NOT powerball) = 4,000 Credits -If you hit 2 numbers (Bonus included) and powerball = 9,000 Credits -If you hit 3 numbers (Bonus included) and powerball = 9,000 Credits -If you hit 3 numbers (Excluding powerball) = 30,000 Credits -If you hit 4 numbers (Bonus included) and powerball = 75,000 Credits -If you hit 4 numbers (Excluding powerball) = 125,000 Credits -If you hit 5 numbers (Bonus included) and powerball = 250,000 Credits -If you hit 5 numbers (Excluding powerball) = 368,614 Credits -If you hit 6 numbers (Bonus included and Powerball) = 478,151 Credits Here is the list of entrants and their numbers: (List AND credit payouts will continuously be updated) -Jake Ferguson [4, 11, 14, 21, 24] [32] [36] -kjwkjw [7, 18, 26, 40, 44] [21] [23] -iceefudgesickle [12, 15, 26, 49, 53] [18] [33] -awein999 [4, 5, 6, 42, 50,] [31] [4] -Spoiled Milk [8, 12, 29, 38, 56] [24] [18] -Bobogoobo [1, 15, 29, 43, 57] [17] [13] -TC_Halogen [6, 17, 24, 26, 45] [11] [51] -sayuncle990 [4, 8, 15, 16, 23] [19] [42] -justinianian [3, 9, 27, 51, 57] [18] [30] -Guest15937 [1, 2, 3, 4, 5] [6] [7] -8 Hour Whore [3, 8, 20, 22, 37] [9] [25] -MrPreggers [6, 29, 34, 39, 40] [7] [6] -The_Toymaker [1, 13, 17, 30, 45] [24] [59] -FFR Pro 21 [8, 24, 27, 36, 51] [19] [19] -Untimely Friction [7, 21, 28, 32, 56] [19] [44] -noname219 [25, 27, 29, 38, 42] [34] [24] -Elite Ninja [9, 15, 36, 42, 51] [16] [3] -Sweet_Feet [1, 17, 31, 47, 58] [6] [9] -thesunfan [ 2, 15, 27, 32, 48 ] [ 13 ] [ 59 ] -demonllama6124 [12, 17, 26, 40, 52] [23] [30] -SC_coolguy44 [8, 16, 24, 40, 59] [30] [18] -MarioNintendo [1, 2, 12, 24, 42] [22] [44] -Izzy [5, 7, 17, 21, 46] [22] [43] -Garquillex [3, 14, 17, 24, 37] [34] [9] -Sweet Angel [2, 9, 15, 24, 38] [29] [6] -andy-o24 [3, 10, 37, 41, 56] [8] [24] -Jerry DB [7, 13, 21, 36, 42] [25] [50] -dore [2, 5, 20, 37, 49] [18] [29] -ichliebekase [6, 17, 22, 32, 47] [23] [54] -jibgilmon [2, 14, 25, 36, 52] [27] [42] -Xiz [8, 17, 28, 39, 45] [15] [32] -axith [12, 18, 22, 38, 41] [13] [42] -TalesofFan2010 [6, 13, 19, 29, 51] [22] [12] -21992 [3, 13, 20, 31, 47] [21] [25] -Riotpolice [2, 4, 6, 8, 10] [12] [14] -kangolokster [7, 16, 23, 29, 50] [25] [46] -EzExZeRo7497 [5, 12, 27, 39, 46] [23] [19] -25thhour [7, 22, 28, 48, 49] [21] [24] -Zapmeister [4, 16, 31, 46, 56] [3] [19] -U.N. Thanks man, I really appreciate that! I actually don't mind doing these, at least during the winter months when I don't have too much going on. For this particular event I actually had a member contact me who was willing to donate for this whole event (their name will be revealed when I post the new info) but again I definitely appreciate that and they will definitely go towards future events considering I literally have nothing to spend credits on lol, but donations are always welcome, and I do not expect them just so everyone knows. If anyone wants to donate, again they will be used STRICTLY for event purposes. |

Re: Powerball Event #2!!!
If you read the rules don't think too hard about doing something wrong. An example of a correct submission is as simple as this:
[1,2,3,4,5] [6] [7] That's all it is and that took me less than 10 seconds. |

Truly randomly generated:
[4, 5, 6, 42, 50,] [31] [4] I propose a jackpot donation section so the jackpot keeps getting bigger and bigger until someone wins it. And the minimum prize is always 300k. I'll start by donating 10k to the jackpot |

I can run the program I did on the results again if you want, I can't imagine doing them manually. |

Re: Powerball Event #2!!!
I actually wrote a program as well, bobogoobo. (:
boredom ftw. edit: Pros: tells which numbers were correct, and outputs the number of credits they got after that; numbers don't have to be in any particular order Cons: Entries need to be in this exact format "username,#,#,#,#,#,#,#" And I'll update the payouts to reflect the new rules obviously double edit; just changed the printout to print user's names in red when they've won any credits triple edit: I might just write the payout section as something you can change on your own as well, so you wouldn't even need me to change it each time in the program Last edited by justin_ator; 12-5-2012 at 03:07 AM.. |

Re: Powerball Event #2!!!
Hah, interesting. This was the output from mine, more function-oriented (for the person running the event) than display-oriented (for the participants, other than to see what they won). I just put in the list from the OP and the winning numbers and the result is sorted by amount won and then by the order in the OP (I assume entry order). Updating payouts might be a pain the way I did it, dunno how to improve that. But oh well :P
