Can you tell what mix of dog this is?

I'm going to be adopting this dog. The shelter knows he's a Shar Pei mix, but doesn't know the other half he's mixed with. Soooooo I need help on determining it. Of course I'll never know for sure, but some ideas would help. I'm guessing a pitbull/shar pei mix, but I don't know where he gets those pointy ears

Yep, looks like a Shar Pei-Pitbull mix :

And straight ears are a dominant trait, so my guess is one of his parent might be another mix (probably the pitbull one).
(my biology class is far, so I'm not sure about that)

my shepherd mix has floppy ears though, never know
