Additional acceptance of files from May 2013 Regular Batch
We decided to accept files that are higher than 6.7 rating from the last regular batch, retrospectively (15 files).
If you have already resubmitted the file to the current batch then we'll use the most recent version. You can re-send the file if you have fixed version (in this case, fixes should be sent asap). If you have some issues for the usage of your file(s) now, post about it here. Alice's Garden (XelNya) Ah Shwe Bah [Rog] (Rog) Chipscape (mi40) GABBA YAKUZA (_.Spitfire._) My Fxxkin Desire For You (Xx{Midnight}xX) Nintendon't (qqwref) Prove Them Wrong (Razor) Jeh Jeh Slammin' (Extended Mix) (Charu) N's Farewell (Xx{Midnight}xX) Tachyon (gameboy42690) SigSig (Razor) State of Confusion (gameboy42690) Suit Up (DarkZtar) We Killed The Rave (samurai7694) Witchcraft (gameboy42690) In addition to this, setting the acceptance line of current batch to 6.7. This line may be raised again when the acceptance rate gets higher. |

I have a question about SigSig. Would this be used for a tournament because FFR likely doesn't have permission for Kors K and any of his aliases?

Re: Additional acceptance of files from May 2013 Regular Batch
There are remixes of SigSig that I'm sure are allowed to be used as long as we have permission from the artist that remixed the song.

Yes (checked the batch again just now).
It's a remix by Yuuyu. Which we do have permission from.

It's a remix done by yuuyu
edit: ninjad by alex edit2: As for Poppin' Shower, we do have permission for a couple of BMS tournament songs and it included Poppin' Shower. Bmah can probably answer that question better than me since he steps a lot of those bms songs.

Well, I've never heard of this being done before... But I'm glad to welcome it.

I am not sure if I like this, but I guess from your point what else could be done?
I would say all those would require acceptance WITH fixes. Makes more sense IMO. (However that's what people should be doing anyway) |

Re: Additional acceptance of files from May 2013 Regular Batch
A little clarification as to why this is happening, as I like to keep people in the loop:
- the previous batch saw a substantially lower acceptance rate than normal with 7.0 being the cutoff. This concerned me, because as publicly announced on the front page, I do have intentions on beginning the Official Tournament soon (date is still not determined yet, but the more files that work/that I get, the sooner this date can come. Hopeful start date is September, but that date is extremely tentative.) - previous batches have had acceptance ratings of 6.7/6.8 before, and the queue was running somewhat thin, unfortunately. I had given up a few songs from the tournament in the previous SotW's to let you guys still have new content, but I wasn't completely loose -- I kept a lot of the good stuff and left you guys with some good stuff as well. I'm not sure how bmah/JX felt about what I left behind, but I hope I was somewhat nice in their eyes, haha. - with the queue running thin, and the sudden shift to a 7.0 acceptance rating, I talked it out with bmah to see if he would be willing to drop the rating down to 6.7 for the previous batch and this current one as well -- this should boost the batch size and the amount of files that I should be able to pull as well. bmah said yes, JX said yes, and I was a very very very happy person. - I'm not sure if this has been announced, but I collected the scores of the newly accepted files (on the OP) as well as those files that have resubmission privileges if we take the top 10 files below the new acceptance line. Until bmah or JX says so, there is not officially a resubmission threshold -- any file at this point that was rejected will require SAP unless they are still using a resubmission area. What I am hoping will happen is this: I know a few of you guys had to use SAP to send files back a second time -- if your file ended up in the new resubmission area, you should get one file back (or multiple files if you had multiple files fit this). As far as I am aware, these are the 10 files that now have resubmission privileges: grass-green holiday (Silvuh) - 6.68 Black (YoshL) - 6.65 XTC Hill Zone Act (T-Force) - 6.62 Eirin’s Clinic That People Queue (MrPopadopalis25) - 6.57 Raccoon Flicka (Charu) - 6.52 Nuke Blast (samurai7694) - 6.50 Lawn Wake IX (MrPopadopalis25) - 6.48 Super Scooter Mappy (Charu) - 6.45 Ascension to Heaven (iironiic) - 6.44 Rock Over Japan (Wayward Vagabond) - 6.40 Anyone who has submitted these files in the current batch should be allowed an extra submission, as they would have sent the file under resubmission classification. I'm not sure who falls under this scenario. Last edited by TC_Halogen; 07-23-2013 at 02:06 PM.. |

Re: Additional acceptance of files from May 2013 Regular Batch
Oh my... this is interesting news.
If what you said, then that means my two other charts are part of the resubmission. Well, I sent Raccoon Flicka to this current batch so I don't know what's going to happen about that, hahaha. Wow, this is quite the surprise, really. |

Re: Additional acceptance of files from May 2013 Regular Batch
In an ideal world, you should get to submit another file because resubmissions don't count towards your cap. However, as mentioned in my previous post, there is no official resubmission threshold now that we've added 15 files that were below the previous 7.0 cap. bmah or JX will have to confirm that.

Re: Additional acceptance of files from May 2013 Regular Batch
so i submitted Black to the may/june period. Now i've learned that it was a resubmission, but because it was in a previous month period, would that not let me have an extra submission? :/
