In Need of FFR Official YouTube Channel Contributors
This is something that should have been done a long time ago, I don't know why FFR never had an official channel on YouTube. This is going to be a huge project so we're going to need your help!
We're going to want all sorts of content on here such as *Tutorials for stepping which includes all the various things that go along with that (song cutting, syncing, etc) *Tutorials on the game (how to use features, various engines, gameplay, etc) *Gameplay showcases *Interviews with players/staff/event winners *Other ideas you may have for the channel, I want to hear what you think would be good to see on an official channel for the game. If you want to contribute please use the form https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1WxN...PlUuE/viewform and we'll be in touch with you to get everything set up. If you're going to be contributing with things like tutorials, gameplay etc you need to be able to screen capture what you're doing so the quality is good and you must have a microphone that people can hear you clearly on. If you just want to do an interview then you just need a mic that works well enough for people to hear you clearly. For the interviews I want to see people of all skill levels! So if you're interested just go to that form linked above leave your username and that you'd like to do an interview and we'll set up a time that's good for you to do it Feel free to leave comments in the thread as well! EDIT: Current assignment spreadsheet - https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets...it?usp=sharing

Re: In Need of FFR Official YouTube Channel Contributors
I'll contribute whatever I can (I already have over 700 FFR videos on my channel, I have thought about doing this but I lack structure and having someone to tell me what to record would work)
Just tell me what to do and when to do it by~ I've asked for a quality microphone for my birthday which is the fifth of October. Until then, I have two other microphones which are OKAY. lol Tutorials on game features, game play showcases and maybe songs of the week previews could be a thing I do well. Another idea is having a Multiplayer tournament and we record the players in MP as they battle it out

Re: In Need of FFR Official YouTube Channel Contributors
I'm trying to get an exact list together of what tutorials and such are like must haves lets get em done asap. But I do want to hear what others think should go on the channel, it's always good to have more input!
I will try to post a list here soon of some of the exact things we definitely want on the channel and see who we can get to fill them in. |

Re: In Need of FFR Official YouTube Channel Contributors
I'll be doing like I said on the FPP; a tutorial/guide for newer players using previous content like Rushy's Terminology Thread and Mahou's FFR Guide.
I'm going to begin working on that tomorrow

Re: In Need of FFR Official YouTube Channel Contributors
Just a few random thoughts/suggestions as far as content for the channel...
- A video-tutorial of the FAQs? (by question as listed on the FAQ page) - Video-tutorial/walkthrough of the various patterns (w/finger cam)? ***Rushy did this gif-style, but I think it can be more efficient, especially with R^3's ability to isolate sections of a file. http://www.flashflashrevolution.com/...=115282&page=7 - Reviving the FFR Perfect Project and integrating with the main YT page?

It's awesome that you want to jump right on it but we're kinda trying to still figure out exactly how things should be broken down and stuff. I'd like to see who all would like to help in what areas and go from there.

Edit: I really don't want this to be coming off the wrong way and I don't always word things the greatest. I want community involvement but feel there needs to be a quality standard for the official youtube if that makes sense. I hope you guys can understand that. Also from some other perspective on it having to perfect everything can also be a bit intimidating to new users. Someone coming in and seeing only perfect scores on hard songs may be deterred from it. I'd like to get some new screen captured videos of gameplay from users of all different skill levels so it's not so intimidating. (I've been up for 19 hours and getting a bit tired, yes I'm old and can't stay up for so long anymore lol, so I'm sorry that this isn't worded so well) Oh! Was just thinking, if I'm going to start doing the what's happening posts on the front page again I can add the FFR perfect project to it once in a while to get some activity going again or something.

I'll show what i got later cause im sleepy editedit: another thing would be like, someone with video editing software ir after affects/etc that can really spice everything up. maybe add a quick ffr logo thing at the start of vids like all the cool kids on yt do

Would really like to contribute on the project. I might not be able to provide video content, but I can help with graphics if necessary or integrating information/tutorial to the wiki.

Re: In Need of FFR Official YouTube Channel Contributors
that would probably take a backseat to actually generating content for the channel.
It's one thing to have an idea and start working on it, and another to continue to chug through it without letting it die from people not caring about it edit - i would love to see this project through

Re: In Need of FFR Official YouTube Channel Contributors
I don't see the need to relocate videos from the FFR Perfect Project to a official channel, the FFRPP channel has run fine back in the day and it could act as a secondary channel for people who wants more in-depth playthrough on the game. It could be interesting to promote the channel in some ways though, here's a few ideas :
- mentioning whenever a new video on the FFR Perfect Project has gone up, leaving a link for people who wants to see it fully (even having a 10 second clip from the video would act like as invitation) - I'm currently adding every video to the ffr wiki Imo, it's more beneficial to focus on tutorial videos/tips/interviews/anouncements on the official channel, even if it would produce less videos than the FFRPP.

just as many other successful channels work, we should list the FFRPP as a featured channel rather than merging. We can always put a link at the end saying "check out other cool FFR stuff" and have links to the FFRPP or even in the descriptions. You can also make a playlist on the official channel listing all of the FFRPP's videos, keeping the separate channels clean of clutter

Re: In Need of FFR Official YouTube Channel Contributors
Might I toss out the idea Kayla with the front page posts?
I suggest we steal something from thirdstyle. Allow simfile artists to talk about their files on the front page as long as they keep it appropriate? I really really really loved doing this on TS and FFR could add a little more personal touch from artists that way. Also I'd love to try maybe interviewing a few simauthors too about their work. I for one would love to hear people yap about certain choices they made in files and stuff. Last edited by XelNya; 09-19-2015 at 02:25 AM.. |

Re: In Need of FFR Official YouTube Channel Contributors
how can it possibly be inappropriate to talk about a simfile
"i really enjoyed this track from this porno i was watching with the 5 hookers i hired the other day while we roleplayed a dysfunctional polygamous marriage so i decided to step it and masturbated the entire time and literally orgasmed as i placed the last note and then i made all 5 of my wives make me an arrow shaped sandwich" yea ok |
