Re: Requesting my song to be stepped for FFR
Can someone just explain to me what this "Newgrounds Music" prejudiced bullshit is about?
Wait... I think I answered it.

Wow lol, some of ya'll are just seriously overworked by this game. To the point you've become narcissistic judgmental fucks right? I'd like to see you attempt to make a soundtrack! See, i've got nearly 70 titles to choose from. Each of which emotion and soul pours through the crisp edges which assault your humble ears. Yet you have no experience in actually creating music. You have the audacity to insult? I pity some of you.

Learning to accept criticism is the first step to become a better musician.

And i completely agree with you. However, there are two different kind of people that review. Those that actually give a crap about music in general, and those that talk trash. I see both on this thread.
Insults are not feedback. They are stabs. Highly unprofessional. |

I step pretty much only dubstep. I wouldn't step what you have. Learn to take criticism and improve. Then i'll consider it. You are close, but have a ways to go

Re: Requesting my song to be stepped for FFR
The way people have said some feedback i agree is harsh and not a good way to approach it, but take the criticism. It's how I improve in everything I do ^^

Oh don't get me wrong, I appreciate yours and Choof's posts. They've been insightful. Posts like Razors are just unprofessional. No reasoning, no insight, nothing to work on. Purely an insult. If people like that would expand on their thoughts, nothing would have been brought up.

Also, your percussion needs work. Make it unique, interesting, and have it change. Honestly, i can predict exactly what your percussion will do... and thats a big turn off for me. Keep trying, and don't give up. tl;dr Don't believe in yourself. Believe in me, the Xiz who believes in you.

<3
Post your next track when you are done, or pm it to me. I'll help you out. Also, take a listen to pretty much any monstercat artist. Try to do what they do. Listen to what they do, what they change, and how they keep the music going.

Re: Requesting my song to be stepped for FFR
Honestly, Dubstep isn't my home genre to begin with, orchestral is where it all started for me. Only recently, have I delved into this form of art. two songs i believe? I do have another that has been finished since Fixxit, it's about 7 minutes long. Not too heavy on the dubstep side however, and there are various parts I am unhappy with but posted anyways for the feedback. I'll message it to you.

Re: Requesting my song to be stepped for FFR
I'd just like to make an observation. While I obviously agree with the usefulness of constructive criticism (it helped me improve a lot in the past year), there's also the type of criticism laid out by people who have a clear bias against you, for some reason. The type of bullshit criticism that is "I'll just pick apart whatever this person made, ignore everything that's good about it and try to find as many problems as I can, even if they might not actually be there". Or just plain insults. And, yes, there are people who do that, here.

The intro to this is almost identical to that of "Big Boss" by Doctor P.
Uhh, whoops. I didn't realize how old this thread was.
