And all this talk about HP clerics: Why? Only time I can think it's be REALLY helpful to be an HP cleric is if you're trying to solo skelegons (since ER does nothing for you there). Aside from that, I don't think the benefits outweigh everything else. Especially since it's easier to get lots of HP from equips than it is to get lots of int. =\

And Chris, if you don't wanna grind your priest, grind something in JMS. They have 4th job now, so you'd even have motivation to get up to and beyond 120. =O! And if you're playing there I'd have more incentive to get on and play with you. I have a 37 xbow and a 38 cleric now and I play here and there, but it gets boring with nobody to talk to... =(

I think he's being the way he is because White Knights aren't Pages anymore. Either that, or he didn't know WKs are the job up from Pages.

Hmm ... an HP Cleric? That's certainly strange. I know a lot of 8x-11x priests and all of the ones I've talked to say that unless you're purely a party cleric and you won't use heal anywhere else, don't put into HP because the damage formula for Heal is different (as in it doesn't rely on HP, instead, it relies on INT/level) than Heal for HP regeneration.

Then again, maybe I misunderstood that whole conversation. If I did, sorry ... I didn't mean to intrude. =(

Anyway, I'm a level 76 Priest on Bera ... when do you guys think I'll be able to get in a ZPQ? I want a Zhelm ... xD

Actually, the heal formula for healing has nothing to do with HP either, it's also INT. Afrobean got a pure HP cleric (except for the int required for job advance) up to 33, and could barely heal at all.

Well of course it's based on int, it's an attack :/ I mean it serves a different purpose than most attacks, but it's still an attack.

Heal has nothing to do with HP. At all.

If you want it to be based on HP, play cMS. Their Heal formula is based solely on HP. Meaning not only does it heal more based on HP, it also does more damage to enemies based on HP.

That would make HP clerics so unfair haha. The only thing is that by 4th job they'd suck, but who cares? Most people won't even get that far anyway.

I'd prefer not dying at bosses over not getting a lot out of skills anyway. Then again, I quit my Priest mainly because he was so incredibly weak as a soloer. So whatever.

Crossbowmen are still my favorite class.

No, I like WK's just as much as Pages, it's just that there seems to be a SEVERE underappreciation for Threaten, which when maxed is arguably the handiest skill ever. I think the MS world could use more Pages and less Spearmen.

Actually, Omega, Threaten is pretty garbage. If it reduced based on % rather than a static number, it'd be awesome, but Nexon was too dumb to make the skill worth a damn. =\

Haven't been into the game for too long, since about Christmas last year, but it's definitely my fave MMO right now. Built a botched Warrior til almost 30 then trashed it cause it was just THAT botched, lol... (I was such a damn nub, no one told me about init. building)
Now I'm working on a (not botched) Archer (lv 19 right now). Prolly build to a Ranger, still haven't decided for sure yet...

Any tips you mega-eletist pros wanna give?

Even if it did remove 20%, HB is still superior, because it adds more % in HP (and for magicians, MP) than threaten would take away.

That's not really accurate because if you have enough HP that it's not really much of a concern, Threaten would be better at speed-killing.

But a combination of the two could keep me alive at Crimson.

Assuming it is percent-based (which I think it is) and it works on bosses (which I doubt).

HB probably wins because it's a buff, not a curse.
