Brother brand sewing machines. Simple, cheap, does the job. Trust your skill not a robot.

I have a Janome from the 70s that was my grandmother's machine. It's a freaking beast, the stitch on it is so powerful and fast it's amazing. My mum has one of the embroidery machines but she likes mine better. But, the embroidery thing is super cool

@svaz look into getting something used, I feel like my grandma isn't the only grandma unable to use her machine anymore

I've legit only used Brother and a 1900 New Home that my Great Grandmother had. Push pedal and all. Still around at my mom's house someone needs a new belt tho.

I kinda stopped seeing stuff in my teens, outside of repairs (and you can bet I try to talk my mom into doing them for me)

DBP current thoughts on FFA v Raeko? Or are you not that,far yet?

i got to one of their spats, it might be TvT

FFA is extremely focused on one thing that raeko did and is in full tunnel mode, falling into extreme confirmation bias in trying to make his argument more substantive (like her vote on me, etc)

it's bad but this is just FFA being himself

raeko is frustrated that she has to keep defending herself against what she thinks is a bullshit point and she's not able to make any forward-progress on solving the game because FFA is up in her face

fmpov it's more lucrative to judge raeko based on how she attacks vs how she defends, and there's not really a whole lot of data there because FFA keeps interfering

I don't think you're gonna get anywhere looking at their interactions but more by looking at them independently. "Is FFA tunneling because he wants to distract raeko and set her up for failure?" "once FFA is off raeko how will raeko conduct herself offensively?" are better questions to ask

my reads on them are gonna be more based on other things, esp. with raeko

this post isn't too useful but it's a important thing I wanted to say
