Re: Yooka-Laylee
Gonna bump this because E3 is about to hit and yadda yadda yadda.
Pretty much this game will be there so expect to see more of this lizard and bat duo in the gaming world. Also, just a reminder to everyone here that this game does, in fact, still exist! |

Re: Yooka-Laylee
Oh, and double bump, but here's this
https://imgur.com/a/JyZUq Some magazine recently got some scoops on the game and shows off a little bit of what they got going. My excitement is rekindled! It's always so scary to see a game go dark (for an entire year), but I think these guys actually mean it. They want to make this happen! |

Re: Yooka-Laylee
Funny, I was just thinking about this game last night and where it was, because I have heard next to nothing about it. But eh, that might just be because I haven't been looking/following it about.

Re: Yooka-Laylee
I'm glad to see this is still alive. It dropped off pretty quick and for so long that I completely forgot about it :O

Re: Yooka-Laylee
a couple things, it looks like there was a little too much bloom for my liking in the sky rock level (for lack of a better name)
snow level looks fucking gorgeous some of the effects look a little wonky, like when yooka licks the cannonballs to turn into iron. idk feels off i guess looks like there's an action meter for the moves, so you can't sustain flight or the speed roll or w/e for too long before having to stop they said in a previous news post thing or article i can't remember which, that they love watching speedruns sooooooooooo i'm excited because i think the things that i mentioned will probably be much more fleshed out by release, and i'm not worried at all, just pure hype as a former banjo runner

Yoooo, I hope there's more stuff they're going to be showing off.

Re: Yooka-Laylee
This looks really really good.
Honestly, I'm hoping this game is good enough to revive this genre for a bit and spawn a few more 3d platformers. They're some of my favorite games ever, I replay many of them every few years and I would love to see more of them utilizing the modern possibilities of consoles.

Re: Yooka-Laylee
i mean, i've been also waiting for a hat in time for the longest time, but i'm more excited for this because the level design seems more coherent. i played the alpha of hat in time, and the first level seems to be a confusing mismash of elements that were thrown together. the subsequent areas seemed a little better in termss of level design, but nowhere near as expansive as the first level
yooka laylee looks just really fucking good jesus christ. if you haven't already, most likely it'll be worth to invest in like a controller for a game like this |
