His video card doesn't match his system. Everything top of the line, and a midrange video card?

overclock is kind of crappy cause it makes your comp less stable and thus more likely to crash.
I have a pentium 2.8ghz
19 inch logitech flattron monitor
512mb DDR ram
ATI Radeon 9800 video card
80Gb hard drive (I think...)

Yea I kno his vid card isn't that good...he just ordered a Nvidia GeForce Ultra 5950 256 online, it'll be there soon.

And Nima, man, you're running a beefed up 2.8, get a bigger HD. I mean at least go for the 120, 80 GB is low end now.

dont buy a 9500 pro that bites the big one...go with a 9700 pro, or a 9800 pro...you can find those cheap with the release of the 9800 XT

My new comp's spec is

AthlonXP 2.2GHz
PC3500 1.5GB DDR
RADEON9800XT
Total 240GB HDD

This comp is mainly for games, creative works like encording.
I mostly use the old comp (Celeron 1.4G) when I'm merely browsing or
typing because the new comp is extremely hot and noisy.
Though old one is a bit slow for playing FFR, I often use it.

no.. just make your own.. it would be cheaper to buy your own parts and build it for your own needs.. and plus you have a gaggle of computer geeks on this site that could help you out with what parts to get for what your willing to spend..

Yeah, you can get some great deals buying a bare bones PC and working your way up. It's really not that hard, chilly, it's basically "Insert Plug A into Slot B" and so forth.

Don't be so entirely quick to say that it's no problem at all to build a computer. Sure it's not hard to ask someone or look it up, but there are still some things that could get you into trouble.

Alternately though, you will end up learning a lot the first (and every) time you build a computer, and it's not too hard to find solutions online, but still realize that if you decide to build your own computer without someone who really knows on hand, you could possibly have some pretty serious problems.

Well yeah, that too...never forget the time my friend was building his comp, and bought a motherboard that was incompatable with the sound card, bought the wrong kind of firewire, didnt' buy a fan, and couldn't jack up the motherboard high enough so it kept short circuiting...stupid kid.

I don't feel like taking a pic, so:

80gb
512mb ram
2.4 mhz
128mb video card (I think :P)
15" moniter, which I hate.
Cable internet

If I just got a new moniter it would be awesome XD.
