this game had a horrible, terrible, no good, very bad series of breaks for town
I'm not sure this could've gone any worse realistically without modkills or something

I only have a laptop so posting full roles will be difficult, but I will do a tl;dr as best I can quickly and get a proper one up tomorrow sometime

the tl;dr

both wolves were lost, and didn't know one another. zenith could've joined wolfchat at any point, but it would've cost him

raeko- wolf fruit vendor and 1-shot postcount vigi

zenith- wolf jailor/interceptor/guilty child

freezin- town and self aligned ???????????
wins with town as normal, automatically wins if reaches final 3, causes the other 2 members of the final 3 to win as well, all other players lose
(I would not include this role in a future game, I can talk more about it tomorrow about why I broke my own rule for 3p and stuff, but this was a mistake, I think)

bugkid- town conditional vigi (got a vigi shot if town would lose the game at the end of a nightphase if wolves killed any number of villagers, or if wolves killed two players in one night phase)

botchi- town friend, creates up to 3 private chats with targeted players each night. Like zenith's role, the invitations can be declined. Had a 1-shot ability to attempt a save on someone who previously shared a chat with him

wayward- initially was kind of a jank role that was given a list of people who had private chats, with some unreliable factor so that it wasn't too broken (I was taking away one real private chat from the list randomly, and adding a random fake piece of info, and wayward was told that his info was presented in such a way). Unfortunately, after botchi's death... I realized that this just wouldn't work because only Zenith's jailing created any private chats unless Zenith activated his guilty child ability to join wolfchat. I changed it to just targeting someone and learning if they were in a private chat that night phase.

star- targets a player each night and learns all the players who visited that player, and all the players who that player visited, for the remainder of the game. Definitely a lot of potential to catch players in a lie with this one.

hopecaster- innocent child. extra bit of ability was that if the guilty child was revealed, and hope caster could convince town to keep the guilty child alive for the next day phase without revealing himself as innocent child, then hope caster would automatically kill the guilty child at the end of the day phase. Would've loved to see this play out. alas.

xel- vanilla town

oh, guilty and innocent children got 2x votes the day phase during or after they revealed

there's some slightly more convoluted stuff with wolves, like they both got the other's PM scrubbed of any revealing info

I... did realize I made a tiny mistake with raeko's where I gendered her partner as male... which is just an example of the patriarchy implanting itself in my head because I wrote the roles before I knew who was what.

idk if she noticed or not but I did feel stupid and rusty

I rationalized it in that any time raeko used her ability, it had the potential to
a) shoot her partner
b) get saved by botchi
c) be very limited in targets
and
d) she had to be the highest or lowest poster for it to work

whereas bug's was just very powerful, but didn't swing it too heavily in town's favor, given it only activated after wolves tried to use theirs

I definitely, definitely understand that all players had bigger fish to fry rather than try and decipher the meaning of the name of the Turbo, but it would make me happy if someone figures it out

shouldn't be too terribly hard, but I mean
I'm not offering any reward or anything so if it doesn't happen by tomorrow night, I'll just say it

I wish I had been better on this last day phase in particular sorry. Another learning experience I guess. but also should we just do host voting on a new regular game at this point?

I feel like people just not being aware of basic host information like that the game was starting, what lylo is, what the day lengths are, when votes can be counted was a huge problem in the game. I think when signups run long maybe we could have a longer pregame notice of when it will start? I was sad for botchi not getting to play.

I don't know that sun fan could have reasonably predicted that people don't know turbos mean 12/12 but it really sucked when people missed almost entire game days due to it. Maybe it wouldn't hurt to put day end time info at the bottom of role messages or something.

last turbo was not 12/12 so that's where the confusion was for some people

freezin clearing me when I'm a wolf with 4 different abilities + the night kill wolf had me actually howling
