Recently when I tried playing my version of FFR on a 32 bit version of windows, it gave me an internet error for some reason. My internet is fine, I am connected using ethernet.
I tried updating to the newest 32 bit version of the game, and now it won't even open the exe. It just says "R3.exe is not a valid Win32 Application". I tried the Hybrid version as well just in case, and it opened, but it had that same internet issue. My clocks are set to the right date and time as well. Is there anybody who could know what is causing these? Thanks! |

the tl;dr is that older versions of windows have been deprecated. You'll need to be on something a little more modern.

native support for XP has ceased because it does its internet settings through Internet Explorer settings, which has been deprecated by Microsoft.
XP also doesn't have native TLS support, and you have to go into Internet Properties and set it up manually. But, that support doesn't work if Microsoft deprecated it. In later versions of Windows, this support was transferred over to Microsoft Edge. ![]() Last edited by gold stinger; 08-25-2024 at 12:22 AM.. |
