If someone can recommend me a keyboard that I get and doesn't ruin the majority of my runs I'll ship you my barely used Wooting keyboard ($200 value) as thanks.
It can't be blue switches or heavier actuation resistance. Ones I have tried: Good feel but bad for index, many double taps: Wooting Two HE Cooler Master CK550V2 brown switches Corsair K70 RGB red switches Less double taps but bad for index due to heavy resistance in key pressing: Gigabyte K83 blue switches Best feel but some double taps and INPUT DROPS : Lemokey X3 brown switches Garbage: Redragon blue switches Logitech K180 Brown switches seem to feel the best for moving sideways and not getting as many double taps as red switches, but I still get a lot of double taps in comparison to blue switches. Dropping 6 averages and god knows how many boos in one section is mind breaking me ![]()

I think you can setup your wooting for avoding it bro, what's happening? too many boos? XD
you already have the top keyboard around, you can check the Drunkdeer A75 it's cheaper and has similar switches, I can't tell you'll get better scores, but these keyboards as yours have pretty soft switches edit: here's a spreadsheet where you can check many keyboards, people rating and commenting about them https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets...41409535279529 Last edited by Josemba; 08-1-2024 at 04:07 PM.. |

Have you tried disabling the rapid trigger function on your keyboard? If you don't care about it, you can potentially avoid all the double taps that occur.
Anyway, I've heard good things about the Steelseries Apex Pro. It uses hall effect switches just like the Wooting, but I'm not sure it's any better for index play like yours. There's this spreadsheet that strictly focuses on high performance for acc play. You can take a look there for some keyboard recommendations: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets...it?gid=0#gid=0

If you have a hotswap board, it may be worth looking into Cherry MX Greys, as they're heavier than browns which may help a lot with double tapping (but also may make input "dropping" worse as they require more force to actuate)

if you perform best on blues, i think its time to just bite the bullet and use blue switches, as annoying as it may be for you or anyone who may be living with you

I tried the use the ikbc CD108 V2 with silent reds recommended by Herogashix, and this is the most consistent keyboard I've ever used when it comes to not double tapping!
The bad news however is that it has the same problem as the blue switch keyboard I used previously, I just can't do the movements required for index because the switches fight me. I'm using the same keycaps from the previous keyboard that let me flow sideways perfectly so I know it is absolutely from the type of switch. I'm going to return this one and get a brown switch from the same manufacturer and pray.

I perform best on browns, blues have the second best hardware consistency.

just a reminder for suggestions, if you can't comfortably and consistently hit in between the keys, it doesn't matter how good the keyboard is normally. it's about the comfort of ease, not the quality. (edit; i just realized how that can come across, and i didn't mean it in any possible negative way. i just wanted to add on some information that might help.)
i am really hoping you find the keyboard that'll help you push your playstyle, it's going to be interesting to see just how far you can push it!

ive been using the logitech g915 TKL this entire time and ive got to say that this keeb is gnarly and i highly recommend it. its a lowprofile mech keyboard that you can comfortably hit inbetween the keys
aside from that, the corsair K100 AIR also seems like a really solid option- friend recommended this one to me after using it for a while

Still waiting on the next one as mentioned before I'm trying Hero's but with brown switches since it is promising.
