Default My previous leave from rhythm games

A while ago I stopped playing rhythm games entirely due to a number of reasons

Mainly, because the way i have my layout damaged my FDP tendons in my ring/middle finger. For context, my layout goes as followed:

~ - Left Index Finger
K - Right Index Finger
O - Right Middle Finger
P - Right Ring Finger
(1 to 3 spread)

Doing Trills on the right side would cause a lot of friction in my arm and it got so bad that it streched from my forearm > shoulder > neck. It was further exacerbated by the fact that when I transferred to SM or O!M, doing holds on the right note while hitting any other note would hurt insanely bad.

NGL i really do miss hitting arrows, but i have a SUPER hard time comprehending how to do a key-layout with 2 keys for the left hand and 2 keys for the right hand. My brain cannot wrap its head around doing 2-2, but for some reason i can do 1-3.

Though I think ima try and learn how to play with a normal spread

also hello everyone how are y'all

just take it slow and gradual and dont expect too much from yourself at first but also dont be afraid to push your limits. Also u should be doing forearm/finger/hand/shoulder/neck/basically any upper extremity stretches those will help a lot. Look up Dr. Levi Harrison for some good stretches

I had a physical reaction to your keybinds

That keybind seems it would be hella uncomfortable after doing 2 + 2. Either way, you just need to build new muscle memory. Just playing songs between 20 - 30 and trying to AAA would probably be a good start.
