Oh. That's easy peasy to do. I might clean up the noteskins a bit, make a halved version and release them tonight when I get home from work. Let me know exactly which notes need to be halved (I'm retarded okay so what), and I'll do them. Also, which version? Regular or note? Or both? Fuck it I'll just do both.

64-> 32
32-> 16 16-> 8 8-> 4 48 -> 24 24 -> 12 if your noteskin has the 192nd stuff, they would probably become 64ths? idk about that |

@xozel short answer is no slightly longer short answer is 'too small to be relevant' long answer is given that users (as you have done yourself) may add those metrics if they so wish, that lifts are nonexistent in basically all standard keyboard charts, that the roll mechanic is mostly inconsequential to keyboard play, and that the build/theme are oriented towards keyboard play it was a conscious design decision to specifically exclude those metrics to begin with there does seem to be some not-insignificant interest in the project from non-keyboard players, which is silly to me since etterna breaks a ton of pad stuff and flat out ignores any resource constraints imposed by cabinets. i'm actually interested in why because below a certain effort threshold it might make sense to port some features and not others to a pad-viable release (strictly performance enhancements etc) Last edited by MinaciousGrace; 02-19-2017 at 05:30 AM.. |

What causes invalid to happen in Etterna 0.54.1?
E: Figured it out ![]() is caused by screenshotting anywhere during the file like I did in this break ![]() can this be fixed? Last edited by MSB Khelly; 02-21-2017 at 04:59 PM.. |

mina the only features that I ask to remain are fakes and sm5 warps, as I am using them more often and would like to see people use them as well (especially since dividebyinf has a different color for 192nd)
lifts are a neat idea but given that the community as a whole has been using mines to force lifted holds, I don't think lifts matter much. as an example I could use them during the breakdown of vortex v2 but it would just arbitrarily give you extra life in a spot where you don't need it. Counting your judgments shows the invalid score is missing 4 judgments. This is a bug which would occur if you caused the game to lag long enough for an arrow to enter and leave the judgement window. It should be possible to fix, it's just a matter of figuring out how the judgement spaghetti code actually works.

Second question: Is the lag caused by this basically because of sm5, or because of having not the best pc? Like can I compensate for it with overpowered hardware Last edited by MSB Khelly; 02-21-2017 at 07:02 PM.. |

Yes, if you screenshot without missing any notes there should not be an issue. The lag associated with taking screenshots comes from the fact that compressing the image is done in the game loop, rather than another thread. Depending on whether or not you take a PNG or JPG screenshot, it will take around 30-200+ milliseconds causing that very obvious lag spike. High end hardware like mine can reduce this, but because CPU power has stagnated over the past 10 years it doesn't make that much of a difference. Ex. Takes half the time to take the screen shot.

Just connect to stepmaniaonline.net the normal way (there's guides all over if you need one).

@blindreper1179
I think Till Death the only(or one of the only) themes with some degree of support for online and almost all the same functions it has offline online. And a bunch of stuff that was made possible by editing the source(Like chat scrolling, hiding the chatbox(Thanks to this it can use the same tab system as the offline screen) and displaying a theme controlled user list). Hey I'd just like to give a shoutout to the guys working on developing this project because you all are fucking amazing. Being able to filter for a specific difficulty range for specific pattern types and having a working search function on top of that is like all I could ever ask for. Wife is great, the
timing graph in the results screen is quality and the ingame calculator is, while impossible to perfect, brilliant in its own regard. Thanks for making the last few [Current Year]s awesome.

I wonder if this will ever be incorporated into future main Stepmania builds or will this be its own thing as a fork of the free software engine like the old sm-ssc.

Oh, so this is part of the upcoming Stepmania 5.2? My bad. The OP was so long that I didn't bother reading all of it and skimmed parts of it.

what mwes was hinting at is that the vanilla devs are so hopeless that this fork might as well be the official build (for 4k kb) pad has itg and rhythm horizon so all the vanilla repo is good for now is a laugh |

also for those wondering there are a huge amount of changes/additions upcoming which include a total rework of the profile save and replay system to facilitate an online stats tracker/leaderboard upload
its gonna be a while to get all the bugs out tho |
