Sometimes I wonder if forgiveness is really something I experience. I had an old friend that left me on pretty bad terms contact me on FB today and to really simplify the situation apologized for some things. I wanted to forgive, and in word I did; I can't help but wonder if I'm really ok with it all though. Like, I still kind of resent the whole process and am a little bitter at it. But that's not what I want to be as a person: I want to forgive people, I want to be on good terms with people I meet, I want to move on and not have anger swell inside me, so on. Sometimes though my actions betray my emotions, and while I am undoubtedly a less shitty person in reality for this practice I sometimes wonder if that makes me a liar deep down.
