Afro: I thought the same thing....

and, perhaps there should be some sort of bill passed that doesn't allow people with crappy prosthetic right legs to drive large vehicles once they pass the age of 60.

Whatever... had I been in that situation, I would have started a riot that would make Rodney King look like a playground slapfest. Damn old people and their fake appendages.

Afro: i thought the same thing, and for those who say the emergancy break doesnt work, next time you driving instead of breakng with your foot use the emergency break, it does the same exact thing.. my boyfriend does it all the time when he wants to make me angry.

Its a pretty funny story though i woudl have prolly sat there for the longest time going what the fuck though..

ok. emergency brakes are for rolling when parked. That's why they're also called parking brakes.

I don't know how they work on automatic transmissions... but on a manual you can drive as much as you want with it up. It just makes shifting gears ten times harder.

Well on an automatic they work just like the normal breaks do.. i mean yeah you can drive with them in anycar it just grinds your trans really bad and ruins your car.. but if you take off the gas and us the breaks as you woudl normal breaks, they work just the same

wow.

heck the closest i've been to having a near death experience was falling down the stairs.

Yeah, your lucky, for:
1. Not getting killed by the prosthetic problem driver
2. For just being there at that time. Most of us never get a chance to experience or even see something of that level of intensity. You get the honour of being able to tell everyone that you almost got run over.

Awesome.

I think old people just shouldn't drive. How's that for a bill?
Remember that old guy that kille like 8 people with his car?
Did he get put to death for vehicular manslaughter? I don't think so.
But if i did that, there would be horrible consequences.
Stupid old people

Nice reaction time.

I don't know about your guys' manuals, but I certainly can't drive when my e-brake is all the way up. And it stops me pretty well when I'm going 40 down a gravel road...after skidding and spinning of course. I'm sure it would work if I was on pavement too.

I'm suprised you didn't get cut by any of the glass. Nice story.

Near-death? I've actually died before, and came back, losers.

Hah... maybe you should think about how things coulda turned out had you not gotten out of the way.

I almost drowned and things like that... been in a few car accidents... 4 or 5. I wasn't the driver.
Fell off a pretty high balcony once too... ouch.

I got my foot stuck in the spokes of a bike when I was like 4. It broke my ankle, tore off enough skin to were the bone was showing all around my ankle, and I didn't even do to the hospital!!! I went to the CLINIC. I know, I know, pretty intense...

Holy crap man. Ive almost died a few times but nothing like that.
Just been hit by cars that braked at the last second.

One Time I Was Up on a cliff, and someone clmbing behind me knocked a large rock loose that rolled really fast
toward the back of my head. I didnt know until someone shouted my name. I looked over and it went over my other shoulder. It was wierd cause I didnt even know till after it happened.

This one time I was jumping on my trampoline with a friend and it was raining.
Well, as I was coming down he was about to go up, I landed and it bounced me pretty high up and foward, off the Trampoline, and I landed head first on a brick.
There was a good amount of blood and I was unconcious for a few minutes.
I didn't go to the hospital or need stitches, but man, I had a MASSIVE headache afterwards.

I'm glad nothing happened to you man, cause that would have sucked.

Oh, and I hope that old guy is fine too >_<

Dude, that is crazy...I've had a really wierd near death experience...I was canoeing in Alaska on a trip, and we were in silt, which is basically glacial water with debris in it, and that stuff will get in your clothes, wiegh you down, and make you drown. I fell in the water, was swept away about 50 feet, and landed in some knee deep water...What made that scary was, my face was under the water, and my head hit the bottom, so I thought I had sunk to the bottom of like a deep part, but thankfully it wasn't deep.
